The next day an evil spirit from God came forcefully on Saul. He was prophesying in his house, while David was playing the lyre, as he usually did. Saul had a spear in his hand

The next day an evil spirit sent by God came powerfully on Saul. Saul began to prophesy in his house. At that same time David began to play the harp, just as he usually did. Saul was holding a spear.

The next day a harmful spirit from God rushed upon Saul, and he raved within his house while David was playing the lyre, as he did day by day. Saul had his spear in his hand.

The very next day a tormenting spirit from God overwhelmed Saul, and he began to rave in his house like a madman. David was playing the harp, as he did each day. But Saul had a spear in his hand,

Now it came about on the next day that an evil spirit from God rushed upon Saul, and he raved in the midst of the house while David was playing the harp with his hand, as usual; and a spear was in Saul’s hand.

And it happened on the next day that the distressing spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied inside the house. So David played music with his hand, as at other times; but there was a spear in Saul’s hand.

耶和華使惡神臨於掃羅、掃羅執戟、坐於室中、大衛鼓琴、

後適祈禱所、遇一婢為卜筮之鬼所憑、以其術大利其主、

耶和華曰、誰願誘亞哈往基列拉末、而隕沒乎、其一曰如此、其一曰如彼、後有神出、立於耶和華前曰、我願誘之、曰、何以誘之、曰、我將出為誑言之神、在其眾先知之口、曰、爾往為之、必成其事、今耶和華以誑言之神、置爾眾先知之口、耶和華有言、將加禍於爾、

值上帝使惡神臨掃羅時、大衛取琴鼓之、掃羅則快然而愈、惡神離之、

故上帝施以乖謬、致信誑言、

自午後至獻素祭時、託神而言、仍無聲響、無應者、無顧者、

我主我王、請聽僕言、如耶和華激爾攻我、願其歆享祭物、若由人意、願耶和華詛之、蓋今逐我、不容附於耶和華之業、命我往事他神、

耶和華之神離掃羅、有惡神擾之、耶和華使然也、其臣僕謂之曰、上帝使惡神擾爾、我主當命侍臣、求善鼓琴者、迨惡神臨爾時、使之鼓琴、則爾愈焉、

遂往拉瑪之拿約、上帝之神亦臨之、且行且言、至拉瑪之拿約、解其衣、在撒母耳前、感神而言、永朝永夕、裸體而臥、故有言曰、掃羅亦在先知中乎、

萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、我已折巴比倫王之軛、二年期屆、耶和華室之器、即巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、自此遷至巴比倫者、我必返之、且導猶大王約雅敬子耶哥尼雅、及猶大之俘囚至巴比倫者、返於此地、蓋我必折巴比倫王之軛、耶和華言之矣、

於民眾前曰、耶和華云、二年期屆、我必如是自列邦之項、取巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒之軛而折之、先知耶利米乃去、

萬軍之耶和華曰、當是日、我必絕偶像之名於斯土、不復見憶、亦使先知與邪鬼出斯土、如有人預言、則生之之父母、必謂之曰、爾託耶和華名而言誑、必不得生、彼預言時、生之之父母、必刺而穿之、是日先知預言者、必因所見之異象而羞愧、不復衣毛服以欺人、乃曰、我非先知、乃農夫耳、自幼為奴、

眾先知亦如是預言曰、可往基列拉末、而得利達、蓋耶和華將付之於王手、
