他说：“为平安来的，我是给耶和华献祭。你们当自洁，来与我同吃祭肉。”撒母耳就使耶西和他众子自洁，请他们来吃祭肉。

他说：“为平安来的，我来是要向耶和华献祭。你们要使自己分别为圣，来跟我一同献祭。”撒母耳把耶西和他众儿子分别为圣，请他们来一同献祭。

他回答：“是为平安来的。我来是要向耶和华献祭。你们要自洁，与我一同参加献祭的筵席。”撒母耳使耶西和他的儿子自洁，邀请他们来参加献祭的筵席。

Samuel replied,“ Yes, in peace; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come to the sacrifice with me.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

Samuel replied,“ Yes, I’ve come in peace. I’ve come to offer a sacrifice to the Lord. Set yourselves apart to him and come to the sacrifice with me.” Then he set Jesse and his sons apart to the Lord. He invited them to the sacrifice.

And he said,“ Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” And he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

“ Yes,” Samuel replied.“ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Purify yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then Samuel performed the purification rite for Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice, too.

“ In peace,” he replied.“ I’ve come to sacrifice to the LORD. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

And he said,“ In peace; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” He also consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

And he said,“ Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons, and invited them to the sacrifice.

And he said, Peaceably; I am come to sacrifice unto Jehovah: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

“ In peace,” he replied.“ I’ve come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

He replied,“ Yes, in peace. I have come to sacrifice to the LORD. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” So he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

He said,“ Peaceably; I have come to sacrifice to Yahweh. Sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice.” He sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.

永恆主又對摩西說：『你往人民那裏去，叫他們今天明天要潔淨為聖，洗淨自己的衣裳；

約書亞對人民說：『你們要潔淨自己為聖，因為明天永恆主必在你們中間行奇妙的作為。』

摩西從山上來、到人民那裏，叫人民要潔淨為聖，他們就把自己的衣裳洗淨。他對人民說：『要豫備好了、來赴第三天；不可接觸女人。』

所以你們要潔淨自己為聖，而成聖別，因為我永恆主是你們的上帝。你們要謹守我的條例而遵行它；我永恆主是把你們分別為聖的。

永恆主啊，檢查我，試驗我，熬煉我的心腸、我的心思。因為你堅固之愛常在我眼前；我是憑你的忠信出入往來的。我沒有和虛謊人同坐，也不跟偽裝掩飾的人來往；我恨惡作壞事者的集團，我不和惡人同坐。永恆主啊，我要洗手表明無辜，才來繞行你的祭壇，

人須要察驗自己，然後喫餅喝杯。

在大眾中有許多人還沒有潔淨自己為聖，所以利未人有責任為一切不潔淨的人宰逾越節的羊羔，使他們在永恆主面前成為聖潔。實際上眾民中有大部分、屬以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫的人、許多沒有潔淨自己、便喫逾越節的羊羔，不遵照所記載的例：希西家就為他們禱告說：『凡立定心意、專一尋求上帝、永恆主他們列祖的上帝的，雖不遵照潔聖的潔淨禮，但願至善的永恆主也赦宥他。』

你起來，叫人民潔淨自己為聖，對他們說：「你們要潔淨自己為聖，以備明天；因為永恆主以色列的上帝這麼說：以色列啊，你們中間有該被毁滅歸神之物；非等到你們使該被毁滅歸神之物離開你們中間，你們在仇敵面前、就立不住。

宴飲的日子輪完了，約伯總打發人去叫他們來，使他們潔淨自己為聖；他往往在早晨時候清早起來，按着他們幾人的數目獻上燔祭；因為約伯說：『萬一我兒子犯了罪，心裏謗讟上帝呢。』每逢這個日子、約伯總是這樣行的。

要聚集人民，使大眾潔淨自己為聖；要招聚老年人，聚集孩童，以及在母懷嗍奶的；要叫新郎出洞房，叫新婦離開內室。

人民漫處跑、撿嗎哪，或用磨子磨，或用臼子搗，或在鍋裏煮，或作成烙餅，它的滋味就像油炸的佳殽的滋味。
