巴兰看见亚玛力人，就唱起诗歌说：“亚玛力是诸国之首，但它终必永远沉沦。”

又用刀把祭司城挪伯中的男女、孩童和吃奶的都杀了，又用刀杀了牛、羊和驴子。

这城和其中所有的都要永献给耶和华作当毁灭的，只有妓女喇合与她家中所有的可以存活，因为她隐藏了我们所派的使者。但你们务必谨慎，不可取那当灭的物，免得你们受诅咒，取了那当灭的物，使以色列全营成为诅咒而遭受灾祸。只有金子、银子和铜铁的器皿都要归耶和华为圣，放入耶和华的库房中。”于是百姓呼喊，祭司吹角。百姓一听见角声就大声呼喊，城墙随着倒塌。百姓上去进城，各人往前直上，把城夺取。他们把城中所有的，无论男女老少，牛羊和驴，都用刀杀尽。

现在，你们要杀所有的男孩，也要把所有曾与男人同房共寝的女子都杀了。

又对亚当说：“你既听从你妻子的话，吃了那树上所出的，就是我吩咐你不可吃的，土地必因你的缘故受诅咒；你必终生劳苦才能从土地得吃的。土地必给你长出荆棘和蒺藜来；你也要吃田间的五谷菜蔬。

为了祖先的罪孽，要预备他子孙的屠宰场，免得他们兴起，夺得全地，使城市遍满地面。”万军之耶和华说：“我必起来攻击他们，将巴比伦的名号和剩余的人，连子带孙一并剪除；这是耶和华说的。

你务必用刀杀那城里的居民，把城里所有的，连牲畜都用刀灭尽。你要把从城里所夺取的一切财物堆在广场中，用火将那城和其中夺取的一切财物全烧给耶和华—你的神。那城要永远成为废墟，不得重建。

不可跪拜那些像，也不可事奉它们，因为我耶和华—你的神是忌邪的神。恨我的，我必惩罚他们的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代；

“但一切永献作当灭的，就是人从他所有永献给耶和华作当灭的，无论是人，是牲畜，是他继承的田地，都不可卖，也不可赎。凡永献作当灭的都归耶和华为至圣。凡从人中永献作当灭的都不可赎，必被处死。

因为受造之物屈服在虚空之下，不是自己愿意，而是因那使它屈服的叫他如此。但受造之物仍然指望从败坏的辖制下得释放，得享神儿女荣耀的自由。
