They pounced on the plunder and, taking sheep, cattle and calves, they butchered them on the ground and ate them, together with the blood.

They grabbed what they had taken from their enemies. They killed some of the sheep, cattle and calves right there on the ground. They ate the meat while the blood was still in it.

The people pounced on the spoil and took sheep and oxen and calves and slaughtered them on the ground. And the people ate them with the blood.

That evening they rushed for the battle plunder and butchered the sheep, goats, cattle, and calves, but they ate them without draining the blood.

在你們一切的住處，脂肪和血都不可吃，這要成為你們世世代代永遠的定例。」

你為何沒有聽從耶和華的話呢？你為何急着撲向掠物，行耶和華眼中看為惡的事呢？」

只是帶着生命的肉，就是帶着血的，你們不可吃。

「凡以色列家中的任何人，或寄居在他們中間的外人，吃任何的血，我必向那吃血的人變臉，把他從百姓中剪除。因為動物的生命是在血中。我把這血賜給你們，可以在祭壇上為你們的生命贖罪；因為血就是生命，能夠贖罪。因此，我對以色列人說：你們都不可吃血；寄居在你們中間的外人也不可吃血。凡以色列人，或寄居在他們中間的外人，獵取了可吃的飛禽走獸，必須把牠的血放出來，用土掩蓋。「因一切動物的生命，牠的血就是牠的生命。所以我對以色列人說：無論甚麼動物的血，你們都不可吃，因為一切動物的生命就是牠的血。凡吃血的必被剪除。

「你們不可吃帶血的食物。不可占卜，也不可觀星象。

只是血，你不可吃，要把它倒在地上，如同倒水一樣。

但是要寫信吩咐他們禁戒偶像所玷污的東西、血和勒死的牲畜，禁戒淫亂。

但是你要堅定，不可吃血，因為血是生命；不可將生命與肉一起吃。你不可吃血，要把它倒在地上，如同倒水一樣。

就是禁戒偶像所玷污的東西、血和勒死的牲畜，禁戒淫亂。這幾件你們若能自己禁戒就好了。祝你們安康！」

所以你要對他們說，主耶和華如此說：你們吃帶血的食物，向偶像舉目，並且流人的血，你們還能得這地為業嗎？

在你們一切的住處，無論是鳥或獸的血，你們都不可吃。無論誰吃了血，這人必從民中剪除。」
