So Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring near the ephod,” for he was at that time wearing the ephod.

扫罗对亚希雅说：“把神的约柜带来！”当时神的约柜与以色列子民在一起。

那時神的約櫃在以色列人那裏。掃羅對亞希亞說：「你將神的約櫃運了來。」

掃羅對亞希亞說：『將神諭像送來』；因為那一天是他在以色列人面前帶着神諭像。

掃羅對亞希雅說：「把神的約櫃帶來！」當時神的約櫃與以色列子民在一起。

斯時上帝之匱在以色列族中、掃羅謂亞希亞曰、舁上帝之匱至、

斯時也、上帝之匱在以色列族中、掃羅使亞希亞舁匱而至。

斯時天主匱在以色列人中、掃羅謂亞希亞曰、舁天主匱至此、

Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God.”( At that time it was with the Israelites.)

So Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God here.” For the ark of God went at that time with the people of Israel.

Then Saul shouted to Ahijah,“ Bring the ephod here!” For at that time Ahijah was wearing the ephod in front of the Israelites.

Saul told Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God,” for it was with the Israelites at that time.

Then Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God here.” For at that time the ark of God was with the sons of Israel.

And Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God here”( for at that time the ark of God was with the children of Israel).

And Saul said unto Ahijah, Bring hither the ark of God. For the ark of God was there at that time with the children of Israel.

Saul told Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God,” for it was with the Israelites at that time.

And Saul said unto Ahiah, Bring hither the ark of God. For the ark of God was at that time with the children of Israel.

Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring God’s ark here.” For God’s ark was with the children of Israel at that time.

Then David said to the priest Abiathar son of Ahimelech,“ Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David.David inquired of the LORD, saying,“ Should I pursue this raiding band? Will I overtake them?” He said to him,“ Pursue, for you will certainly overtake them and carry out a rescue!”

Then the people of Kiriath Jearim came and took the ark of the LORD; they brought it to the house of Abinadab located on the hill. They consecrated Eleazar his son to guard the ark of the LORD.

The Israelites went up to Bethel and asked God,“ Who should lead the charge against the Benjaminites?” The LORD said,“ Judah should lead.”

The Philistines took the ark of God and brought it into the temple of Dagon, where they positioned it beside Dagon.

And he will stand before Eleazar the priest, who will seek counsel for him before the LORD by the decision of the Urim. At his command they will go out, and at his command they will come in, he and all the Israelites with him, the whole community.”

Zadok and all the Levites who were with him were carrying the ark of the covenant of God. When they positioned the ark of God, Abiathar offered sacrifices until all the people had finished leaving the city.Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back to the city. If I find favor in the LORD’s sight he will bring me back and enable me to see both it and his dwelling place again.However, if he should say,‘ I do not take pleasure in you,’ then he will deal with me in a way that he considers appropriate.”

The Israelites went up and wept before the LORD until evening. They asked the LORD,“ Should we again march out to fight the Benjaminites, our brothers?” The LORD said,“ Attack them!”

Uriah replied to David,“ The ark and Israel and Judah reside in temporary shelters, and my lord Joab and my lord’s soldiers are camping in the open field. Should I go to my house to eat and drink and have marital relations with my wife? As surely as you are alive, I will not do this thing!”

The Israelites asked the LORD( for the ark of God’s covenant was there in those days;Phinehas son of Eleazar, son of Aaron, was serving the LORD in those days),“ Should we once more march out to fight the Benjaminites our brothers, or should we quit?” The LORD said,“ Attack, for tomorrow I will hand them over to you.”

When the army came back to the camp, the elders of Israel said,“ Why did the LORD let us be defeated today by the Philistines? Let’s take with us the ark of the covenant of the LORD from Shiloh. When it is with us, it will save us from the hand of our enemies.So the army sent to Shiloh, and they took from there the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts who sits between the cherubim. Now the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phineas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.When the ark of the covenant of the LORD arrived at the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly that the ground shook.
