Early the next morning they arose and worshiped before the Lord and then went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah made love to his wife Hannah, and the Lord remembered her.

亞當和妻子夏娃同房，夏娃就懷孕，生了該隱，便說：『由於永恆主的庇佑我得了一個男兒』；

以法蓮山地有一個人屬於拉瑪地、是蘇弗人，他名叫以利加拿，是以法蓮人蘇弗的元孫，託戶的曾孫，以利戶的孫子，耶羅罕的兒子。

我天微亮就起來呼救；我仰望的乃是你的話。

以利加拿往拉瑪回家去。那孩子留在祭司以利面前事奉着永恆主。

晚上、早晨和中午、我都哀怨悲歎。他聽了我的聲音，

我們在卑微的地步、他眷念着我們，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；

就說：『耶穌啊，你進你國的時候、請記得我。』

我幼年的罪求你不要記得。我惟獨求你按你的堅愛來記起我：永恆主啊，為了你的慈惠記起我吧！

上帝記起挪亞來，也記起那些同挪亞在樓船裏的一切走獸、一切牲口；上帝叫風吹過地上，水就漸漸消退。

永恆主啊，早晨你必聽我的聲音；早晨我必向你陳明，來企望着。

掃羅就躺着睡。日色昇現的時候，撒母耳在房頂上呼叫掃羅，說：『起來吧，我好送送你。』掃羅就起來；於是二人便出去，他和撒母耳都出去到外邊。

清早，遠在破曉以前，耶穌就起來，出去，到荒野地方，在那裏禱告。
