是以福音曾宣於死者、使其身如人而受鞫、其靈依上帝而得生、○

已死之人、曾聞福音、其身為人所害、其神為上帝所救、

是以福音亦傳於死者、使其身按世人受審、審或作刑靈魂賴天主得生、使其身按世人受審靈魂賴天主得生原文作使其以身受審判依人以神得生依天主

且已亡之人、亦何為能聞福音乎？蓋使若輩身雖因人而死、靈則得以托主而生耳。

For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

That’s why the good news was preached even to people who are now dead. It was preached to them for two reasons. It was preached so that their bodies might be judged. This judgment is made by human standards. But the good news was also preached so that their spirits might live. This life comes by means of God’s power.

For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does.

That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead— so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit.

For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead, so that, although they might be judged in the flesh according to human standards, they might live in the spirit according to God’s standards.

我们从前也是无知、悖逆、受迷惑，作各样私欲和宴乐的奴隶，在恶毒、嫉妒中度日，是可恨的，而且彼此相恨。但到了我们救主上帝的恩慈和慈爱显明的时候，他救了我们，并不是因我们自己所行的义，而是照他的怜悯，藉着重生的洗和圣灵的更新。圣灵就是上帝藉着我们的救主耶稣基督厚厚地浇灌在我们身上的，好让我们因他的恩得称为义，可以凭着永生的盼望成为后嗣。

我们从前也都生活在他们当中，放纵肉体的私欲，随着肉体和心中的意念去做，和别人一样，生来就是该受惩罚的人。然而，上帝有丰富的怜悯，因着他爱我们的大爱，竟在我们因过犯而死了的时候，使我们与基督一同活过来—可见你们得救是本乎恩—

如果上帝的灵住在你们里面，你们就不属肉体，而是属圣灵了。人若没有基督的灵，就不是属基督的。基督若在你们里面，身体就因罪而死，灵却因义而活。然而，使耶稣从死人中复活的上帝的灵若住在你们里面，那使基督从死人中复活的，也必藉着住在你们里面的圣灵使你们必死的身体又活过来。

他藉这灵也曾去向那些在监狱里的灵传道，

我实实在在地告诉你们，时候将到，现在就是了，死人要听见上帝儿子的声音，听见的人就要活了。因为父怎样自己里面有生命，也照样赐给他儿子自己里面有生命，

既然基督在肉身受苦，你们也该将这样的心志作为兵器，因为在肉身受过苦的已经与罪断绝了，使你们从今以后不再随从人的情欲，只顺从上帝的旨意，在世度余下的光阴。

我们若是先省察自己，就不至于受审判。我们受审判的时候，就是被主管教，这样就免得和世人一同被定罪。

我们若靠着圣灵而活，也要靠着圣灵行事。

那时，人要使你们陷在患难里，也要杀害你们；你们又要为我的名被万民憎恨。

另有一位天使从祭坛出来，是有权柄管火的，向那拿着锋利镰刀的大声喊着说：“伸出锋利的镰刀来，收取地上葡萄树的果子，因为葡萄熟透了。”

我因律法而向律法死了，使我可以向上帝活着。我已经与基督同钉十字架，
