Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.

Christ suffered in his body. So prepare yourselves to think in the same way Christ did. Do this because whoever suffers in their body is finished with sin.

Since therefore Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for whoever has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,

So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.

凡屬基督耶穌的人，是已經把肉體與肉體的邪情私慾同釘在十字架上了。

因為基督也曾一次為罪受苦，就是義的代替不義的，為要引領你們到上帝面前。在肉體裏，他被治死；但在靈裏，他復活了。

因為你們已經死了，你們的生命與基督一同藏在上帝裏面。基督是你們的生命，他顯現的時候，你們也要與他一同在榮耀裏顯現。所以，要治死你們在地上的肢體；就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾和貪婪－貪婪就是拜偶像。

現在活着的不再是我，乃是基督在我裏面活着；並且我如今在肉身活着，是因信上帝的兒子而活；他是愛我，為我捨己。

這樣，你們也要看自己對罪是死的，在基督耶穌裏對上帝卻是活的。

你們要洗滌、自潔，從我眼前除掉惡行；要停止作惡，

所以，要拿起上帝所賜的全副軍裝，好在邪惡的日子能抵擋仇敵，並且完成了一切後還能站立得住。

因為已死的人是脫離了罪。

絕對不可！我們向罪死了的人，豈可仍在罪中活着呢？

黑夜已深，白晝將近。所以我們該除去暗昧的行為，帶上光明的兵器。行事為人要端正，好像在白晝行走。不可荒宴醉酒；不可好色淫蕩；不可紛爭嫉妒。總要披戴主耶穌基督，不要只顧滿足肉體，去放縱私慾。

你們要仔細想想這位忍受了罪人如此頂撞的耶穌，你們就不致心灰意懶了。

你們當以基督耶穌的心為心：

因為那些進入安息的，也是歇了自己的工作，正如上帝歇了他的工作一樣。

用火焚燒你的房屋，在許多婦女眼前審判你。我必使你不再行淫，你也不再給賞金。
