I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father when I said,‘ You shall never fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’

Then I will set up your royal throne over Israel forever. I promised your father David I would do that. I said to him,‘ You will always have a son from your family line on the throne of Israel.’

then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying,‘ You shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’

then I will establish the throne of your dynasty over Israel forever. For I made this promise to your father, David:‘ One of your descendants will always sit on the throne of Israel.’

主亦必踐向我所應許之言、主曾應許我曰、如爾子孫謹慎其道、盡心盡意、誠實無妄、行於我前、則將繼爾坐以色列國位、永遠不絕、

爾建此殿、如爾遵行我之律例法度、遵行謹守我一切誡命、則昔所許爾父大衛之言、我必踐之、

迨爾年壽已滿、與爾列祖同寢、我必使爾所出之苗裔、所出之苗裔或作所生之子繼爾位、我亦必鞏固其國、

爾家與爾國必穩立於我前、於我前原文作於爾前至於永遠、爾國位必堅定至於永遠、

爾將生子、彼喜平康、我亦使之得平康、不為四周之敵所擾、其名將稱所羅門、所羅門譯即平康之義彼在世之日、我必使以色列人平安康泰、彼將為我名建殿、彼必為我子、我為其父、彼為以色列王、我必鞏固其國、至於永遠云、

我時常向之施恩、與其立約、永無變更、使其後裔世世長存、使其國位與天同久、其子孫若違背我訓、不依我法度而行、廢棄我典章、不遵守我命令、我即以杖責其罪愆、以梃罰其過犯、然我恩澤仍不離之、我既應許、決不失信、不廢棄我所立之約、不更改我口中之言、我乃至聖、既向大衛一次指己而誓、決無虛言、必使其後裔存至永遠、使其國位在我前、如日之恆、又與月同久、此乃天上之明證、最為確實、細拉、乃今主屏棄厭惡所立之受膏者、向其大震烈怒、廢棄與主之僕所立之約、將其冠冕委置塵埃、

主向大衛誠實發誓、決不反覆、曰、我必使爾所出之苗裔、登爾之位、爾子孫若守我約與我所訓之法度、其後裔亦必永遠坐爾之位、

王曰、當頌美主以色列之天主、因昔以口所許我父大衛者、今以手成之、主曾曰、

今主之言應矣、使我繼父大衛即位、治理以色列、循主所許者、故我為主以色列天主之名建殿、
