When Solomon had finished building the temple of the Lord and the royal palace, and had achieved all he had desired to do,

以至府庫、車騎之邑、暨在耶路撒冷、利巴嫩所轄之境、凡欲建者悉建之。

於是耶和華殿、與王宮室、凡所羅門所欲建者、至是告成。是夕耶和華顯現於所羅門、曰、我聞爾祈、特簡斯殿、為獻祭奉我之所、如我使天閉塞、雨澤不降、或使蝗蟲食其土產、或使瘟疫、流於民間、時我選民、卑以自牧、祈禱求我、免厥罪愆、則我在天必聞其祈、赦其愆尤、使封疆無害。人於此祈禱、我必眷顧之、俯念之、我曾簡是殿、使之成聖、為籲我名之所、我必眷顧垂念、歷久靡暨。如爾遵從我命、守我禮儀法度、於爾父大闢、是則是效、我必鞏固爾國、昔我許爾父大闢、不絕其嗣、以繼以色列國位、今必踐其前言。如爾背逆、棄所命之禮儀禁令、奉事他上帝、我必拔斯民之根株、驅於所錫之地、我所成聖之殿、為籲我名之所者、必廢、使兆民作歌譏刺。凡過此有名之殿宇、必駭異、如有詢及者曰、耶和華燬此殿、害此國也、曷故。則必曰、昔上帝耶和華導其列祖、出於埃及、彼乃違逆、反簡他上帝、奉事崇拜、故耶和華降以是災。所羅門建耶和華殿、及己宮室、越二十年。希蘭復歸所羅門之侵地、凡有數邑、所羅門重為修葺、使以色列族居之。所羅門往哈末之鎖巴、陷之、建近野之達墓、及哈末之府庫。又於岡陵平陸均建伯和倫、俱為邑垣、有門有楗。亦建巴拉、與府庫、車騎之邑、及在耶路撒冷利巴嫩所轄之境、凡欲建者、悉建之。

創造之時、推羅王希蘭、以柏香木、松木、及金、饋於所羅門、任其所欲。所羅門以加利利地二十邑予希蘭。

於是興工作、建屋宇、作園囿、種葡萄、栽百果、

所羅門即位四年、西弗月、置耶和華殿基、越至十一年、布勒月、即八月、建殿四周、遵式以造、凡歷七年、始竣厥工。所羅門創建宮室、歷至十三年、始竣其工。

凡目前之宴樂、人心之嗜好、無所禁止、勞而獲之、逸而享之。

寧享現在之福、勿作出位之思、莫非捕風捉影。

所羅門王所作耶和華殿諸器、已竣其工、於是攜父大闢所獻之金銀器皿、置於殿中之府庫。
