“ Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

“ I praise the Lord. He has given peace and rest to his people Israel. That’s exactly what he promised to do. He gave his people good promises through his servant Moses. Every single word of those promises has come true.

“ Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant.

“ Praise the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the wonderful promises he gave through his servant Moses.

“ Blessed be the LORD! He has given rest to his people Israel according to all he has said. Not one of all the good promises he made through his servant Moses has failed.

“ Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel in accordance with everything that He promised; not one word has failed of all His good promise, which He promised through Moses His servant.

“看哪，我今日要走世人必走的路了。你们要一心一意知道，耶和华—你们上帝所应许要赐给你们的一切福气，没有一件落空，都应验在你们身上了。耶和华—你们的上帝所应许的一切福气怎样临到你们身上，耶和华也必照样使各样灾祸临到你们身上，直到他把你们从耶和华—你们上帝所赐给你们的这美地上除灭。

耶和华照着向他们列祖起誓所应许的一切，赐给他们全境安宁。他们所有的仇敌，没有一个能在他们面前站立得住。耶和华把所有仇敌都交在他们手中。耶和华应许赐福给以色列家的话，一句都没有落空，全都应验了。

撒母耳长大了，耶和华与他同在，使他所说的话一句都不落空。

天地要废去，我的话却绝不废去。”

他向我们列祖施怜悯，记得他的圣约，就是他对我们祖宗亚伯拉罕所起的誓，

你们过了约旦河，住在耶和华—你们上帝给你们承受为业的地；他又使你们得享太平，不受四围一切仇敌扰乱，使你们安然居住。

等到耶和华让你们的弟兄像你们一样，得享太平，他们在约旦河另一边，也得了耶和华—你们的上帝所赐给他们的地，你们各人才可以回到我所赐给你们为业之地。’

他扶助了他的仆人以色列，不忘记施怜悯，正如他对我们的列祖说过，‘怜悯亚伯拉罕和他的后裔，直到永远。’”

但我们已经信的人进入安息，正如上帝所说：“我在怒中起誓：他们断不可进入我的安息！”其实造物之工，从创世以来已经完成了。论到第七日，有一处说：“到第七日，上帝就歇了他一切工作。”又有一处说：“他们断不可进入我的安息！”既有这安息保留着让一些人进入，那些先前听见福音的人，因不信从而不得进去，所以上帝多年后藉着大卫的书，又定了一天—“今日”，如以上所引的说：“今日，你们若听他的话，就不可硬着心。”若是约书亚已使他们享了安息，后来上帝就不会再提别的日子了。这样看来，另有一安息日的安息为上帝的子民保留着。

你们和儿女、仆婢，以及住在你们城里，没有与你们一起分得产业的利未人，都要在耶和华—你们的上帝面前欢乐。

由此可知，耶和华指着亚哈家所说的话一句也没有落空，因为耶和华实现了他藉他仆人以利亚所说的话。”

他在犹大建造了几座坚固城。那些年间，国中太平，没有战争，因为耶和华赐他平安。
