[ Yet] if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;

若他們在那裡回心轉意，向你懇求，承認自己犯罪作惡了；

在被擄的地方，他們若是回心轉意，在他們被擄去之地回轉，向你祈求，說：‘我們犯了罪了；我們犯了過了，我們作了惡事。’

他們若在被擄到之地心裏回想起來、而回心轉意，在擄了他們者之地懇求你說：「我們犯了罪了，我們作了孽了，我們行了惡了」；

如在虜至之地、思念改悔、懇求於爾曰、我儕犯罪、悖逆作惡、

如在被虜之地、翻然易念、悔改前非、祈求於爾、自陳其過、以負咎戾、

如在被擄之地、問心悔罪、在擄之者地祈主曰、我儕犯罪、我儕違逆、我儕作惡、

and if they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captors and say,‘ We have sinned, we have done wrong, we have acted wickedly’;

But suppose your people change their ways in the land where they are held as prisoners. They turn away from their sins. They beg you to help them in the land of those who won the battle over them. They say,‘ We have sinned. We’ve done what is wrong. We’ve done what is evil.’

yet if they turn their heart in the land to which they have been carried captive, and repent and plead with you in the land of their captors, saying,‘ We have sinned and have acted perversely and wickedly,’

But in that land of exile, they might turn to you in repentance and pray,‘ We have sinned, done evil, and acted wickedly.’

and when they come to their senses in the land where they were deported and repent and petition you in their captors’ land:“ We have sinned and done wrong; we have been wicked,”

if they take it to heart in the land where they have been taken captive, and repent and implore Your favor in the land of those who have taken them captive, saying,‘ We have sinned and done wrong, we have acted wickedly’;

yet when they come to themselves in the land where they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to You in the land of those who took them captive, saying,‘ We have sinned and done wrong, we have committed wickedness’;

yet if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they are carried captive, and turn again, and make supplication unto thee in the land of them that carried them captive, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have dealt wickedly;

and when they come to their senses in the land where they were deported and repent and petition You in their captors’ land:“ We have sinned and done wrong; we have been wicked,”

When your people come to their senses in the land where they are held prisoner, they will repent and beg for your mercy in the land of their imprisonment, admitting,‘ We have sinned and gone astray; we have done evil.’

yet if they repent in the land where they are carried captive, and turn again, and make supplication to you in the land of those who carried them captive, saying,‘ We have sinned, and have done perversely; we have dealt wickedly;’

We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.

And said, O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over[ our] head, and our trespass is grown up unto the heavens.Since the days of our fathers[ have] we[ been] in a great trespass unto this day; and for our iniquities have we, our kings,[ and] our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as[ it is] this day.

That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD.

We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.O Lord, righteousness[ belongeth] unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel,[ that are] near, and[ that are] far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.O Lord, to us[ belongeth] confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.To the Lord our God[ belong] mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that[ is] written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find[ him], if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee,[ even] in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;( For the LORD thy God[ is] a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself[ thus]; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed[ to the yoke]: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou[ art] the LORD my God.Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon[ my] thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.[ Is] Ephraim my dear son?[ is he] a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.

He looketh upon men, and[ if any] say, I have sinned, and perverted[ that which was] right, and it profited me not;He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

But we are all as an unclean[ thing], and all our righteousnesses[ are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.And[ there is] none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.But now, O LORD, thou[ art] our father; we[ are] the clay, and thou our potter; and we all[ are] the work of thy hand.Be not wroth very sore, O LORD, neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we[ are] all thy people.Thy holy cities are a wilderness, Zion is a wilderness, Jerusalem a desolation.Our holy and our beautiful house, where our fathers praised thee, is burned up with fire: and all our pleasant things are laid waste.Wilt thou refrain thyself for these[ things], O LORD? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?

If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me;And[ that] I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes.And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I[ am] the LORD their God.But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I[ am] the LORD.

Nevertheless they were disobedient, and rebelled against thee, and cast thy law behind their backs, and slew thy prophets which testified against them to turn them to thee, and they wrought great provocations.Therefore thou deliveredst them into the hand of their enemies, who vexed them: and in the time of their trouble, when they cried unto thee, thou heardest[ them] from heaven; and according to thy manifold mercies thou gavest them saviours, who saved them out of the hand of their enemies.But after they had rest, they did evil again before thee: therefore leftest thou them in the hand of their enemies, so that they had the dominion over them: yet when they returned, and cried unto thee, thou heardest[ them] from heaven; and many times didst thou deliver them according to thy mercies;And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments,( which if a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear.Yet many years didst thou forbear them, and testifiedst against them by thy spirit in thy prophets: yet would they not give ear: therefore gavest thou them into the hand of the people of the lands.

And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call[ them] to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for[ his] only[ son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for[ his] firstborn.

Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father’s house have sinned.We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying,[ If] ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:But[ if] ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven,[ yet] will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.Now these[ are] thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man. For I was the king’s cupbearer.

Yet[ if] they bethink themselves in the land whither they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly;

And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he[ was] God.
