你的民以色列，或是眾人，或是一人，自覺有罪，向這殿舉手，無論祈求甚麼，禱告甚麼，

如以色列族人、自知其心之非、不論何事、展舒其手、向斯殿以祈求、

主之民以色列、無論何人、自覺其心之憂、向此殿舉手、無論何禱何祈、

and when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among your people Israel— being aware of the afflictions of their own hearts, and spreading out their hands toward this temple—

But suppose one of your people prays to you. They ask you to help them. They are aware of how much their own heart is suffering. And they spread out their hands toward this temple to pray.

whatever prayer, whatever plea is made by any man or by all your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart and stretching out his hands toward this house,

and if your people Israel pray about their troubles, raising their hands toward this Temple,

every prayer or petition that any person or that all your people Israel may have— they each know their own affliction— as they spread out their hands toward this temple,

whatever prayer or plea is offered by any person or by all Your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart, and spreading his hands toward this house;

whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by anyone, or by all Your people Israel, when each one knows the plague of his own heart, and spreads out his hands toward this temple:

what prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, who shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

whatever prayer or petition anyone from Your people Israel might have— each man knowing his own afflictions and spreading out his hands toward this temple—

What prayer and supplication soever be[ made] by any man,[ or] by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

When all your people Israel pray and ask for help, as they acknowledge their pain and spread out their hands toward this temple,

whatever prayer and supplication is made by any man, or by all your people Israel, who shall each know the plague of his own heart, and spread out his hands toward this house,

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (niv)

Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in front of the whole assembly of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven (niv)

Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.Our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary for your Name, saying,‘ If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine, we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’“ But now here are men from Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, whose territory you would not allow Israel to invade when they came from Egypt; so they turned away from them and did not destroy them.See how they are repaying us by coming to drive us out of the possession you gave us as an inheritance.Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.”All the men of Judah, with their wives and children and little ones, stood there before the Lord. (niv)

Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy. (niv)

He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. (niv)

and call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.” (niv)

Let the priests, who minister before the Lord, weep between the portico and the altar. Let them say,“ Spare your people, Lord. Do not make your inheritance an object of scorn, a byword among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples,‘ Where is their God?’” (niv)

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. (niv)

When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood! (niv)
