“如果国中有饥荒、瘟疫、旱灾、霉病、蝗灾、虫灾，或是城邑被敌人围困，无论遭遇什么灾祸疾病，

“国中若有饥荒、瘟疫、旱风、霉烂、蝗虫、蚂蚱，或有仇敌犯境围困城邑，无论遭遇什么灾祸疾病，

“这地若有饥荒、瘟疫、焚风、霉烂、蝗虫、蚂蚱，或有仇敌围困这地的城门，无论遭遇什么灾祸疾病，

“这地若有饥荒、瘟疫、焚风、霉烂、蝗虫、蚂蚱，或有仇敌围困这地的城门，无论遭遇什么灾祸疾病，

“如果这地有饥荒、瘟疫、旱风、霉烂、蝗虫、蚂蚱，或有仇敌把他们围困在城里，无论遭遇什么灾祸，什么疾病，

「國中若有饑荒、瘟疫、旱風、霉爛、蝗蟲、螞蚱，或有仇敵犯境圍困城邑，無論遭遇甚麼災禍疾病，

「這地若有饑荒、瘟疫、焚風、霉爛、蝗蟲、螞蚱，或有仇敵圍困這地的城門，無論遭遇甚麼災禍疾病，

「這地若有饑荒、瘟疫、焚風、霉爛、蝗蟲、螞蚱，或有仇敵圍困這地的城門，無論遭遇甚麼災禍疾病，

「如果國中有饑荒、瘟疫、旱災、黴病、蝗災、蟲災，或是城邑被敵人圍困，無論遭遇什麼災禍疾病，

“如果這地有饑荒、瘟疫、旱風、霉爛、蝗蟲、螞蚱，或有仇敵把他們圍困在城裡，無論遭遇甚麼災禍，甚麼疾病，

『此地若有饑荒、瘟疫、旱風、霉爛、蝗蟲、螞蚱，若有仇敵圍困城市之地，無論甚麼災病、甚麼病痛，

若斯土有饑饉疫癘、五穀枯稿霉爛、或有蝻蝗蚱蜢、或有仇敵犯境、圍其城邑、無論何災何疾、

如於斯土有饑饉、瘟疫、風暴特甚、五穀細弱、如有蝗蟲、食其物產、如有仇敵、困其邑鄉、勿論何災、勿論何害。

如斯地有饑饉疫癘、或稼穡萎弱枯槁、或有蝗蝻蚱蜢之災、或敵人犯境、圍困城池、無論何災、無論何害、害原文作病

“ When famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when an enemy besieges them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come,

“ Suppose there isn’t enough food in the land. And a plague strikes the land. The hot winds completely dry up our crops. Or locusts or grasshoppers come and eat them up. Or an enemy surrounds one of our cities and gets ready to attack it. Or trouble or sickness comes.

“ If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence or blight or mildew or locust or caterpillar, if their enemy besieges them in the land at their gates, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is,

“ If there is a famine in the land or a plague or crop disease or attacks of locusts or caterpillars, or if your people’s enemies are in the land besieging their towns— whatever disaster or disease there is—

When there is famine in the land, when there is pestilence, when there is blight or mildew, locust or grasshopper, when their enemy besieges them in the land and its cities, when there is any plague or illness,

“ If there is a famine in the land, if there is a plague, if there is blight or mildew, locust or grasshopper, if their enemy harasses them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness there is,

“ When there is famine in the land, pestilence or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities; whatever plague or whatever sickness there is;

If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting or mildew, locust or caterpillar; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be;

When there is famine on the earth, when there is pestilence, when there is blight, mildew, locust, or grasshopper, when their enemy besieges them in the region of their fortified cities, when there is any plague or illness,

If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust,[ or] if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness[ there be];

“ The time will come when the land suffers from a famine, a plague, blight and disease, or a locust invasion, or when their enemy lays siege to the cities of the land, or when some other type of plague or epidemic occurs.

“ If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence, if there is blight, mildew, locust or caterpillar; if their enemy besieges them in the land of their cities; whatever plague, whatever sickness there is;

我要惩罚你们，使你们陷入恐慌、患痨病和热症，使你们眼睛昏花、心力衰竭。你们撒种却一无所获，因为敌人要吃尽你们所种的。

“祂要使瘟疫紧紧跟随你们，直到你们在将要占领的土地上被灭绝。“祂要使你们遭受痨病、热症、疟疾、炙热、刀剑、干旱和霉烂之灾，直到你们灭亡。

‘如果我们遭遇祸患，无论是战祸、瘟疫或饥荒，当我们在急难中站在这殿前向你呼求时，你必定垂听，施行拯救，因为你的名在这殿里。’

“你们种的多，却收的少，因为庄稼必被蝗虫吃掉。“你们栽种、修剪葡萄园，却吃不到葡萄，也喝不到葡萄酒，因为葡萄必被虫子吃掉。“你们境内长满橄榄树，却没有橄榄油抹身，因为橄榄必未熟先落。“你们生儿育女，却留不住一个，因为他们必被掳走。“蝗虫要吃光你们的树木和地上的出产。

“主耶和华说，‘我要把战祸、饥荒、猛兽和瘟疫这四大刑罚降在耶路撒冷，毁灭人和牲畜。

在你们的上帝耶和华所赐给你们的土地上，他们要把你们围困在各个城邑中，直到你们所依赖的高大坚固的城墙都倒塌。“当你们被敌人围困、陷入绝境时，你们必吃自己的亲生骨肉——你们的上帝耶和华赐给你们的儿女。因为被敌人困在城中，饥饿难熬，连你们中间最温柔体贴的男人也要独自吞吃子女的肉，不肯分给自己的兄弟、爱妻和剩下的儿女。

撒玛利亚被困后，城里陷入严重饥荒，以致一个驴头可卖九百克银子，二百克鸽子粪可卖十一克银子。一天，以色列王从城墙上走过，一个妇人向他哭喊道：“我主我王啊，求你帮帮我！”王说：“如果耶和华不帮助你，我怎能帮助你呢？我既无粮也无酒。你有什么难处呢？”妇人说：“这个女人对我说，‘我们今天吃你儿子，明天再吃我儿子。’于是我们把我儿子煮了吃。第二天我叫她把她儿子交出来，她却把儿子藏了起来。”

“我派蝻虫、蚱蜢、蚂蚱和蝗虫大军在那些年所吃掉的，我要补偿你们。你们必吃得饱足，并赞美你们的上帝耶和华的名，因祂为你们行了奇事。我的子民永远不会再蒙羞。

“如果国中有饥荒、瘟疫、旱灾、霉病、蝗灾、虫灾，或是城邑被敌人围困，无论遭遇什么灾祸疾病，只要你的以色列子民，或个人或全体，自知心中痛苦并向着这殿伸手祷告，无论祈求什么，求你从天上的居所垂听，赦免他们。唯独你能洞察人心，你必按各人的行为施行赏罚，使你的子民在你赐给我们祖先的土地上终生敬畏你，遵行你的道。

或三年的饥荒，或被敌人追杀三个月，或国中遭三天的瘟疫，让耶和华的天使在以色列全境施行毁灭。请你考虑好后告诉我，我好回复那差我来的。”

“祂要使你们被敌人击败、溃不成军、四散逃命，下场令天下万国惊惧。

因为你们毁约，我要用战祸报应你们。你们躲进各城的时候，我要在你们中间降下瘟疫，使你们落在敌人手里。我要断绝你们的粮源。那时候，十个妇女将用一个烤炉烤饼，按定量分饼给你们，你们吃却吃不饱。“如果你们仍然不肯听从我，继续与我作对，我也要与你们作对，向你们发烈怒，把比先前严厉七倍的惩罚加在你们身上。你们要吃自己儿女的肉。我要毁灭你们的丘坛，拆掉你们的香坛，把你们的尸体堆在你们毫无气息的神像上。我厌恶你们。我要使你们的城邑沦为废墟，使你们的敬拜场所荒凉，也不再悦纳你们的馨香之祭。我要使你们的土地荒废，连占据那里的敌人也为此而震惊。我要把你们驱散到各国，还要拔刀追杀你们。你们的土地将荒废，城邑将沦为废墟。你们被掳到敌国的时候，你们的土地将荒废，享受安息。你们住在那里的时候，没有在安息年让土地安息，因此土地在荒废的日子里将享受安息。“我要使你们当中的那些幸存者在敌国心惊胆战，过着风声鹤唳、惶恐不安的生活。即使无人追赶，他们也将仓皇逃命，互相绊倒，如同躲避刀剑一样。你们必无力抵挡敌人。你们将葬身列国，死在敌人的土地上。你们当中的幸存者将因自己的罪和祖先的罪而消亡在敌人的土地上。“如果他们承认自己和祖先的罪，就是背叛我、与我作对的恶行——以致我与他们作对，把他们流放到敌国；如果他们顽固的心谦卑下来，甘愿接受刑罚，我便履行我与亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各所立的约，眷顾那片土地。土地被他们离弃，荒无人烟，得享安息。他们却要因拒绝遵守我的典章、厌弃我的律例而饱受惩罚。然而，他们流落敌国的时候，我不会弃绝他们，不会因厌恶而毁灭他们，也不会违背我与他们所立的约。我是他们的上帝耶和华。我必为他们的缘故履行我与他们祖先所立的约。我曾在列国面前带领他们的祖先离开埃及，为要做他们的上帝。我是耶和华。”以上是耶和华借摩西在西奈山上颁布给以色列人的律例、典章和法度。

犹大王西底迦执政第九年十月，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领全军包围耶路撒冷。西底迦执政第十一年四月九日，耶路撒冷沦陷。尼甲·沙利薛、三甲·尼波、撒西金和另一个尼甲·沙利薛等巴比伦王的所有将领都进城坐在中门。

那时，巴比伦王的军队正围攻耶路撒冷。耶利米先知被囚禁在犹大王宫中护卫兵的院子里。

祂一发声，就飞来无数蝗虫和蚂蚱，吃尽他们土地上的植物，吃尽他们田间的出产。

蝗虫吃剩的，蝻子来吃；蝻子吃剩的，蚱蜢来吃；蚱蜢吃剩的，蚂蚱来吃。醉汉啊，醒过来哭泣吧！贪杯的人啊，哀号吧！你们再无美酒可饮了。有一群凶猛的蝗虫侵犯我的国土，它们不计其数，有雄狮的獠牙和母狮的利齿。它们毁坏我的葡萄树和无花果树，剥光树皮，只留下光秃的树枝。
