“如果有人得罪他的鄰居被迫起誓，他來到這殿在你的祭壇前起誓的時候，

『人若得罪他的鄰舍，有人叫他用一種咒語來起誓，他來到這殿，在你的祭壇前起誓；

人若獲罪於鄰、令其發誓、則至此室、在爾壇前發誓、

如人與同儕有所干犯、使至此殿、發誓於壇前、

人若獲罪於人、乃使其發誓、以徵其言、遂至此殿主之祭臺前發誓、

“ Suppose someone does something wrong to their neighbor. And the person who has done something wrong is required to give their word. They must tell the truth about what they have done. They must come and do it in front of your altar in this temple.

“ If a man sins against his neighbor and is made to take an oath and comes and swears his oath before your altar in this house,

“ If someone wrongs another person and is required to take an oath of innocence in front of your altar in this Temple,

“ If a person sins against his neighbor and is compelled to take an oath of innocence, and he comes and takes an oath before Your altar in this house,

If a man sin against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and he come and swear before thine altar in this house;

When a man sins against his neighbor and is forced to take an oath, and he comes to take an oath before Your altar in this temple,

If any man trespass against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house:

“ When someone is accused of sinning against his neighbor and the latter pronounces a curse on the alleged offender before your altar in this temple, be willing to forgive the accused if the accusation is false.

“ If a man sins against his neighbor, and an oath is laid on him to cause him to swear, and he comes and swears before your altar in this house;

If the thief is not found, then the master of the house shall be brought to the judges to see whether he has put his hand into his neighbor’s goods.“ For any kind of trespass, whether it concerns an ox, a donkey, a sheep, or clothing, or for any kind of lost thing which another claims to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whomever the judges condemn shall pay double to his neighbor.If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep, and it dies, is hurt, or driven away, no one seeing it,then an oath of the Lord shall be between them both, that he has not put his hand into his neighbor’s goods; and the owner of it shall accept that, and he shall not make it good.

Lest I be full and deny You, And say,“ Who is the Lord?” Or lest I be poor and steal, And profane the name of my God.

‘ And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the Lord.The priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel, and take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle and put it into the water.Then the priest shall stand the woman before the Lord, uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy. And the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse.And the priest shall put her under oath, and say to the woman,“ If no man has lain with you, and if you have not gone astray to uncleanness while under your husband’s authority, be free from this bitter water that brings a curse.But if you have gone astray while under your husband’s authority, and if you have defiled yourself and some man other than your husband has lain with you”—then the priest shall put the woman under the oath of the curse, and he shall say to the woman—“ the Lord make you a curse and an oath among your people, when the Lord makes your thigh rot and your belly swell;and may this water that causes the curse go into your stomach, and make your belly swell and your thigh rot.”‘ Then the woman shall say,“ Amen, so be it.”

‘ If a person sins in hearing the utterance of an oath, and is a witness, whether he has seen or known of the matter— if he does not tell it, he bears guilt.

“ If anyone sins against his neighbor, and is forced to take an oath, and comes and takes an oath before Your altar in this temple,then hear from heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, bringing retribution on the wicked by bringing his way on his own head, and justifying the righteous by giving him according to his righteousness.
