Therefore all the men of Israel assembled with King Solomon at the feast in the month of Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying:‘ The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord.

At that time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt.And on the eighth day they held a sacred assembly, for they observed the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people away to their tents, joyful and glad of heart for the good that the Lord had done for David, for Solomon, and for His people Israel.

“ You shall observe the Feast of Tabernacles seven days, when you have gathered from your threshing floor and from your winepress.

At that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great assembly from the entrance of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seven days and seven more days— fourteen days.

They also kept the Feast of Tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings in the number required by ordinance for each day.

And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain.If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.This shall be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,“ If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

Therefore all the men of Israel assembled with the king at the feast, which was in the seventh month.

And they found written in the Law, which the Lord had commanded by Moses, that the children of Israel should dwell in booths during the feast of the seventh month,and that they should announce and proclaim in all their cities and in Jerusalem, saying,“ Go out to the mountain, and bring olive branches, branches of oil trees, myrtle branches, palm branches, and branches of leafy trees, to make booths, as it is written.”Then the people went out and brought them and made themselves booths, each one on the roof of his house, or in their courtyards or the courts of the house of God, and in the open square of the Water Gate and in the open square of the Gate of Ephraim.So the whole assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and sat under the booths; for since the days of Joshua the son of Nun until that day the children of Israel had not done so. And there was very great gladness.Also day by day, from the first day until the last day, he read from the Book of the Law of God. And they kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day there was a sacred assembly, according to the prescribed manner.

‘ On the fifteenth day of the seventh month you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work, and you shall keep a feast to the Lord seven days.You shall present a burnt offering, an offering made by fire as a sweet aroma to the Lord: thirteen young bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year. They shall be without blemish.Their grain offering shall be of fine flour mixed with oil: three-tenths of an ephah for each of the thirteen bulls, two-tenths for each of the two rams,and one-tenth for each of the fourteen lambs;also one kid of the goats as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the second day present twelve young bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one kid of the goats as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering with its grain offering, and their drink offerings.‘ On the third day present eleven bulls, two rams, fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the fourth day present ten bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year, without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one kid of the goats as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the fifth day present nine bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the sixth day present eight bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the seventh day present seven bulls, two rams, and fourteen lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bulls, for the rams, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ On the eighth day you shall have a sacred assembly. You shall do no customary work.You shall present a burnt offering, an offering made by fire as a sweet aroma to the Lord: one bull, one ram, seven lambs in their first year without blemish,and their grain offering and their drink offerings for the bull, for the ram, and for the lambs, by their number, according to the ordinance;also one goat as a sin offering, besides the regular burnt offering, its grain offering, and its drink offering.‘ These you shall present to the Lord at your appointed feasts( besides your vowed offerings and your freewill offerings) as your burnt offerings and your grain offerings, as your drink offerings and your peace offerings.’”So Moses told the children of Israel everything, just as the Lord commanded Moses.
