I have indeed built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever.”

O LORD, truly I have built a lofty temple for you, a place where you can live permanently.”

He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired[ it] for his habitation.This[ is] my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance,[ in] the place, O LORD,[ which] thou hast made for thee to dwell in,[ in] the Sanctuary, O Lord,[ which] thy hands have established.

But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved.And he built his sanctuary like high[ palaces], like the earth which he hath established for ever.

Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do[ it].

And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do[ it]: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God,[ even] my God,[ will be] with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

But I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling for ever.

Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he,[ that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.For if that first[ covenant] had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.For this[ is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.In that he saith, A new[ covenant], he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old[ is] ready to vanish away.

He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I[ will be] his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.Now, my son, the LORD be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the LORD thy God, as he hath said of thee.

He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever.

But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption[ for us].
