所罗门为自己建造宫室，十三年方才造成；

犹大长老因先知哈该和易多的孙子撒迦利亚所说劝勉的话就建造这殿，凡事亨通。他们遵着以色列神的命令和波斯王居鲁士、大流士、亚达薛西的旨意，建造完毕。大流士王第六年，亚达月初三日，这殿修成了。

犹太人便说：“这殿是四十六年才造成的，你三日内就再建立起来吗？”

他要建造耶和华的殿，并担负尊荣，坐在位上掌王权；又必在位上作祭司，使两职之间筹定和平。这冠冕要归希连、多比雅、耶大雅，和西番雅的儿子贤，放在耶和华的殿里为记念。”远方的人也要来建造耶和华的殿，你们就知道万军之耶和华差遣我到你们这里来。你们若留意听从耶和华你们神的话，这事必然成就。

以色列人出埃及地后四百八十年，所罗门作以色列王第四年西弗月，就是二月，开工建造耶和华的殿。
