And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These countries brought tribute and were Solomon’s subjects all his life.

在那日，耶和华与亚伯兰立约，说：“我已赐给你的后裔这一片地，从埃及河直到大河，幼发拉底河，

从旷野和这黎巴嫩，直到大河，就是幼发拉底河，赫人的全地，又到大海日落的方向，都要作你们的疆土。

因你耶路撒冷的殿，列王必带贡物献给你。

我要定你的疆界，从红海直到非利士海，从旷野直到大河。我要把那地的居民交在你手中，你要把他们从你面前赶出去。

但有些无赖之辈说：“这人怎么能救我们呢？”他们就藐视他，不送礼物给他。扫罗却保持沉默。

也曾有强大的君王治理耶路撒冷，统管河西全地，人就给他们进贡、纳粮、缴税。

所罗门统管诸王，从大河到非利士人的地，直到埃及的边界。王在耶路撒冷使银子多如石头，香柏木多如谢非拉的桑树。有人从埃及和各国为所罗门把马匹运来。所罗门其余的事，自始至终，不都写在拿单先知的书上和示罗人亚希雅的《预言书》上，以及易多先见论尼八儿子耶罗波安的《默示书》上吗？所罗门在耶路撒冷作全以色列的王四十年。所罗门与他祖先同睡，葬在他父亲大卫的城里，他儿子罗波安接续他作王。

所以耶和华坚定约沙法手中的国，犹大众人给他进贡；约沙法大有财富和尊荣。

所罗门管理整个大河西边，从提弗萨直到迦萨，以及大河西边的诸王，属他的四境尽都平安。

凡你们脚掌所踏之地都必归于你们；从旷野到黎巴嫩，从幼发拉底大河，直到西边的海，都要成为你们的疆土。

他要执掌权柄，从这海直到那海，从大河直到地极。住在旷野的必在他面前下拜，他的仇敌必要舔土。他施和海岛的王要进贡，示巴和西巴的王要献礼物。众王都要叩拜他，万国都要事奉他。

你们当向耶和华—你们的神许愿，还愿；在他四围的人都当拿贡物献给那可畏的主。

亚述王撒缦以色上来攻击何细亚，何细亚就服事他，向他进贡。

有许多人到耶路撒冷将供物献与耶和华，又将宝物送给犹大王希西家。自此之后，希西家在列国人的眼中受人尊崇。
