And if you walk in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.”

Live the way I want you to. Obey my laws and commands, just as your father David did. Then I will let you live for a long time.”

And if you will walk in my ways, keeping my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days.”

And he did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, and walked in the ways of David his father, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left.

for bodily exercise is profitable for a little; but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come.

And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and mine ordinances;then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

And Solomon loved Jehovah, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places.

And Jehovah was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto the Baalim,but sought to the God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel.

A perfect and just weight shalt thou have; a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be long in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
