I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

I will give it to you. I will give you a wise and understanding heart. So here is what will be true of you. There has never been anyone like you. And there never will be.

behold, I now do according to your word. Behold, I give you a wise and discerning mind, so that none like you has been before you and none like you shall arise after you.

I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have!

I will therefore do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has never been anyone like you before and never will be again.

當循爾智慧而行、不容其皓首安然下示阿勒、示阿勒見創世記三十七章三十五節小註

毋容其逃罪、爾乃有智之人、必知如何以待之、使其皓首流血下示阿勒、

戶蘭又曰、當頌美天地之主以色列天主、因賜大衛王賢子、賦以智慧聰明、能建主之殿及王宮、

天主賜所羅門極多之智慧與聰明、且宏廣其心志、如海濱之沙、所羅門之智慧、較一切東方人之智慧、與伊及人之智慧尤大、其智慧勝於萬人、勝於以斯拉人以探、與瑪曷子希幔、甲各、達大、其名揚四周之列國、所羅門作箴言三千語、作詩一千有五篇、論草木、自利巴嫩之柏香木、以及墻上之牛膝草、又論禽獸蟲魚、有人來自萬邦、聽所羅門智慧之言、天下列王、聞其智慧、皆遣使來朝、

我專心致志、以智慧考察窮究日下所作之事、乃知此為苦任、天主所畀於人、欲人因以自勞、

所羅門答其一切隱語、無一隱語、王不能答、示巴女王見所羅門智慧具備、又觀其所建之宮殿、其席之殽饌、群臣之居室、僕役如何侍立、如何服飾、又觀其酒政、及主殿中所獻之火焚祭、則神為之奪、謂王曰、我在我國、聞爾之事與爾之智慧、其言真實不虛、我初不信其言、及我來目睹之、乃知人所告我者、猶未及其半、爾之智慧與爾之福祉、過於我所聞之風聲、爾群臣有福、爾僕役恆侍爾前、聞爾智慧之言、誠為有福、

蓋我將賜爾以口才智慧、使爾諸仇不能辯駁抵拒、

彼尚未祈、我已允之、彼適禱告、彼適禱告原文作彼言未畢我已聽之、

主歟、窮苦人所求者、主常垂聽、堅固其心、側耳聽其祈禱、

一切智慧知識、皆蓄積隱藏於基督內、

天主諭所羅門曰、我立爾為我民之王、爾乃有此心、爾不求貨財、產業、尊榮、滅敵命、亦不求長壽、惟求智慧聰明、能判斷於民中、我必賜爾智慧聰明、更賜爾貨財、產業、尊榮、爾前之王、未有若爾者、爾後之王、亦不能若是、
