如此惡人有子、見父作惡、思改其行、不食岡巒之祭品、不敬以色列族所崇偶像、不淫人妻、不虐遇人、不攘奪人、受人質、即反之、使饑者得飽、裸者不寒、不挾制貧乏、不取利、不迫索、遵我禮儀、守我法度、若此者、不可因父之罪並加誅殛、必全其生命。然其父殘暴、強據同儕、作惡於民間、則必蹈罪而亡。

彼所舉者、其狀若手、執余首髮、我為神所感、升於天地間、恍惚若睹異象、導我至耶路撒冷之內門、其門向北、見有偶像、上帝所斷不容以匹己者、

彼在我前、恆干震怒、獻祭於園囿、焚香於瓦壇。

干耶和華震怒、疫癘流行兮、

亞哈謝在撒馬利亞墜樓欄致疾、遣使者曰、爾往詢以革倫之上帝巴力西卜、此疾得愈否。

爾觀亞哈卑以自牧、因此、亞哈尚存之日、我不降以禍災、迨及其子相繼、乃降災於其家。

行惡於耶和華前、較其父母少愈、蓋父所作巴力之像、約藍去之。
