戰車長們看見約沙法的時候，就說：“這人必是以色列王。”他們就轉過去與他爭戰，約沙法便喊叫起來。

车兵长看见约沙法，便说：“这必是以色列王！”就转过去与他争战，约沙法便呼喊。

率車之諸將見約沙法、則曰、此必以色列王也、遂前欲攻之、約沙法大聲而呼、

When the chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat, they thought,“ Surely this is the king of Israel.” So they turned to attack him, but when Jehoshaphat cried out,

The chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat. They thought,“ That has to be the king of Israel.” So they turned to attack him. But Jehoshaphat cried out.

And when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said,“ It is surely the king of Israel.” So they turned to fight against him. And Jehoshaphat cried out.

So when the Aramean chariot commanders saw Jehoshaphat in his royal robes, they went after him.“ There is the king of Israel!” they shouted. But when Jehoshaphat called out,

約拿從魚腹中向耶和華他的神禱告，說：“我從患難中求告耶和華，他就應允我；我從陰間的深府呼求，你就垂聽我的聲音。

與智慧人同行的，必得智慧；與愚昧人為友的，必受虧損。

在患難的日子，你呼求我。我必搭救你，你也必尊敬我。”

他求告我，我必應允他；他在患難中，我必與他同在；我必拯救他，使他得尊榮。

法老走近的時候，以色列人舉目觀看，看見埃及人正追趕過來，就非常懼怕，向耶和華呼求。

我愛耶和華，因為他聽了我的聲音、我的懇求。因為他留心聽我的懇求，我一生一世要求告他。

耶和華啊！我從深處向你呼求。（本節在《馬索拉文本》包括細字標題）主啊！求你聽我的聲音，求你留心聽我懇求的聲音。耶和華啊！如果你究察罪孽，主啊！誰能站立得住呢？但你有赦免之恩，為要使人敬畏你。

眾戰車隊長看見約沙法，就都心裡說：“這必是以色列王。”於是都繞過去攻擊他。約沙法呼救，耶和華就幫助他；神又使敵人離開他。
