Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah went up and slapped Micaiah in the face.“ Which way did the spirit from the Lord go when he went from me to speak to you?” he asked.

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near and struck Micaiah on the cheek and said,“ How did the Spirit of the Lord go from me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah walked up to Micaiah and slapped him across the face.“ Since when did the Spirit of the Lord leave me to speak to you?” he demanded.

Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah came up, hit Micaiah on the cheek, and demanded,“ Did the Spirit of the LORD leave me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah approached and struck Micaiah on the cheek; and he said,“ How did the Spirit of the Lord pass from me to speak to you?”

Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said,“ Which way did the spirit from the Lord go from me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of Jehovah from me to speak unto thee?

Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah came up, hit Micaiah in the face, and demanded,“ Did the Spirit of the Lord leave me to speak to you?”

But Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near, and smote Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of the LORD from me to speak unto thee?

Zedekiah son of Kenaanah approached, hit Micaiah on the jaw, and said,“ Which way did the LORD’s spirit go when he went from me to speak to you?”

Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said,“ Which way did Yahweh’s Spirit go from me to speak to you?”

Ananias the high priest heard this. So he ordered the men standing near Paul to hit him on the mouth.

Jerusalem, you are being attacked. So bring your troops together. Our enemies have surrounded us. They want to slap the face of Israel’s ruler.

Let him turn his cheek toward those who would slap him. Let him be filled with shame.

Then Zedekiah, the son of Kenaanah, went up and slapped Micaiah in the face. Zedekiah asked Micaiah,“ Do you think the spirit sent by the Lord left me? Do you think that spirit went to speak to you?”Micaiah replied,“ You will find out on the day you go to hide in an inside room to save your life.”

Then some began to spit at him. They blindfolded him. They hit him with their fists. They said,“ Prophesy!” And the guards took him and beat him.

The Lord and King has unplugged my ears. I’ve always obeyed him. I haven’t turned away from him.I let my enemies beat me on my bare back. I let them pull the hair out of my beard. I didn’t turn my face away when they made fun of me and spit on me.

Zedekiah was the son of Kenaanah. Zedekiah had made horns out of iron. They looked like animal horns. He announced,“ The Lord says,‘ With these horns you will drive back the men of Aram until they are destroyed.’ ”

Again and again they hit him on the head with a stick. They spit on him. They fell on their knees and pretended to honor him.After they had made fun of him, they took off the purple robe. They put his own clothes back on him. Then they led him out to nail him to a cross.

“ He saved others,” they said.“ But he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross! Then we will believe in him.He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him. He’s the one who said,‘ I am the Son of God.’ ”

“ My disciples, does the world hate you? Remember that it hated me first.

Remember what I told you. I said,‘ A slave is not more important than his master.’( John 13:16) If people hated me and tried to hurt me, they will do the same to you. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

They said,“ Prophesy to us, Messiah! Who hit you?”

But here is what I tell you. Do not fight against an evil person. Suppose someone slaps you on your right cheek. Turn your other cheek to them also.

“ The Lord has appointed you priest in place of Jehoiada. He has put you in charge of the Lord’ s house. You are supposed to arrest any crazy person who claims to be a prophet. You should put him in prison. You should put iron bands around his neck.So why haven’t you punished Jeremiah from Anathoth? He claims to be a prophet among you.

The false prophet Hananiah took the yoke off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet. Then Hananiah broke the yoke.In front of all the people he said,“ The Lord says,‘ In the same way, I will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon. Before two years are over, I will remove it from the necks of all the nations.’ ” When Jeremiah the prophet heard this, he went on his way.
