Some time later there was an incident involving a vineyard belonging to Naboth the Jezreelite. The vineyard was in Jezreel, close to the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.

Some time later King Ahab wanted a certain vineyard. It belonged to Naboth from Jezreel. The vineyard was in Jezreel. It was close to the palace of Ahab, the king of Samaria.

Now Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard in Jezreel, beside the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.

Now there was a man named Naboth, from Jezreel, who owned a vineyard in Jezreel beside the palace of King Ahab of Samaria.

霎时之间，天空因风云而变为黑暗，随着降下大雨来。于是亚哈坐上了车，往耶斯列去了。耶和华的能力临到以利亚的身上，以利亚就束上腰，跑在亚哈的前头，直跑到耶斯列的城门口。

这亚哈斯王在急难的时候，竟越发冒犯耶和华。

那时，米甸人、亚玛力人和东方人，都聚集起来，过了河，在耶斯列平原安营。

耶和华啊！你的眼目不是要看诚实的事吗？你击打他们，他们却不觉得伤痛；你摧毁他们，他们仍不肯接受管教。他们板着脸，脸皮比磐石还硬，总不肯回转。

非利士人把他们所有的军队都聚集在亚弗，以色列人却在耶斯列的泉旁安营。

他们的境界包括耶斯列、基苏律、书念、

耶和华就对何西阿说：“给他起名叫耶斯列；因为不久我就要惩罚耶户家在耶斯列流人血的罪，我要灭绝以色列家的国。“到那日，我要在耶斯列平原折断以色列的弓。”

这人民还没有回转、归向那击打他们的万军之耶和华，也没有寻求他。

先知门徒中有一个人奉耶和华的命令对他的一个同伴说：“你打我吧！”可是，那人却不肯打他。他就对那人说：“因为你不听从耶和华的话，你一离开我，就必有狮子咬死你。”那人一离开他，果然遇见了狮子，把他咬死。先知的门徒又遇见另一个人，对他说：“你打我吧！”那人就打他，把他打伤。于是那先知去了，在路旁等候王。他用头巾蒙住自己的眼睛，把自己改了装。王从那里经过的时候，他向王呼叫说：“你仆人出征，在战阵之中，忽然有一个人转过来，带了另一个人来见我，说：‘你看守这个人，他若是走失了，就要你替他偿命，否则你要支付三十公斤银子。’你仆人正在忙这忙那的时候，那人就不见了。”以色列王对他说：“你的判案就是这样，你已经自己判决了。”他急忙把蒙在眼上的头巾除下，以色列王就认出他是一个先知。先知对王说：“耶和华这样说：因为你把我要灭绝的人从你手中放走，所以要你替他偿命。要你的人民抵偿他的人民。”于是以色列王闷闷不乐回到撒玛利亚，自己的王宫里去了。

虽然因着我们许多的恶行和重大的罪过，这一切就临到我们身上，但我们的神啊，你惩罚我们实在轻于我们的罪孽所应得的，还给我们留下这些逃脱的人。我们怎可以再违背你的诫命，与这些行可憎事的民族通婚呢？如果我们这样行，你岂不向我们发怒，消灭我们，以致没有一个剩余，或是逃脱的人吗？
