遂束麻於腰、繫索於首、詣以色列王曰、爾僕便哈達云、請存我命、曰、彼尚在乎、我兄弟也、

遂衣麻於身。繫索於項、至以色列王前曰、爾臣便哈達云、請宥我命、曰、我兄弟尚在乎。

遂腰束麻、項繫繩、至以色列王前、曰、王之僕便哈達云、求王存我命、曰、彼若尚存、我必以兄相待、

Wearing sackcloth around their waists and ropes around their heads, they went to the king of Israel and said,“ Your servant Ben-Hadad says:‘ Please let me live.’” The king answered,“ Is he still alive? He is my brother.”

So they wore rough clothing. They tied ropes around their heads. Then they went to the king of Israel. They told him,“ Your servant Ben- Hadad says,‘ Please let me live.’ ” The king answered,“ Is he still alive? He used to be my friend.”

So they tied sackcloth around their waists and put ropes on their heads and went to the king of Israel and said,“ Your servant Ben-hadad says,‘ Please, let me live.’” And he said,“ Does he still live? He is my brother.”

So they put on burlap and ropes, and they went to the king of Israel and begged,“ Your servant Ben hadad says,‘ Please let me live!’” The king of Israel responded,“ Is he still alive? He is my brother!”

So they dressed with sackcloth around their waists and ropes around their heads, went to the king of Israel, and said,“ Your servant Ben-hadad says,‘ Please spare my life.’” So he said,“ Is he still alive? He is my brother.”

So they put sackcloth around their waists and ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel and said,“ Your servant Ben hadad says,‘ Please let me live.’ ” And Ahab said,“ Is he still alive? He is my brother.”

So they wore sackcloth around their waists and put ropes around their heads, and came to the king of Israel and said,“ Your servant Ben-Hadad says,‘ Please let me live.’” And he said,“ Is he still alive? He is my brother.”

So they girded sackcloth on their loins, and put ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said, Thy servant Ben- hadad saith, I pray thee, let me live. And he said, Is he yet alive? he is my brother.

So they dressed with sackcloth around their waists and ropes around their heads, went to the king of Israel, and said,“ Your servant Ben-hadad says,‘ Please spare my life.’” So he said,“ Is he still alive? He is my brother.”

So they put sackcloth on their bodies and ropes on their heads, and came to the king of Israel, and said,“ Your servant Ben Hadad says,‘ Please let me live.’” He said,“ Is he still alive? He is my brother.”

‘你的银子，你的金子都是我的；你的妻子和你最健壮的儿女也是我的。’”以色列王回答说：“我主我王啊，就照着你所说的，我和我所有的一切都可以归你。”那些使者再来说：“便．哈达这样说：‘我曾经差派人对你说：你要把你的银子，你的金子，你的妻子和你的儿女都给我。明天大约这个时间，我要差派我的臣仆到你那里去；他们要搜查你的王宫和你臣仆的家；凡是他们看为宝贵的，他们都要下手拿走。’”

到那日，眼目高傲的人必降卑，性情骄傲的人也必俯首，唯独耶和华被高举。因为万军之耶和华必有一日，要攻击一切骄傲的、狂妄的，和所有高抬自己的，他们都要降卑。

但他心高气傲、妄自尊大的时候，就从国位上被赶下来，他的尊荣也被夺去。他被赶逐，离开人群，他的心变如兽心，他和野驴同住，像牛一样吃草，身体被天露滴湿；等到他承认至高的神在世人的国中掌权，他喜欢谁，就立谁执掌国权。伯沙撒啊！你是他的子孙，你虽然知道这一切，你的心仍不谦卑，竟高抬自己，敌对天上的主，使人把他殿中的器皿拿到你面前来，你和你的大臣、妻妾、妃嫔用这些器皿喝酒；你又赞美那些不能看见、不能听见、什么都不能知道，用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神，却没有把荣耀归给那手中有你的气息，和那掌管你一切命途的神。

你心中的傲气欺骗了你；你这住在岩石的隐密处，居所在高处的啊！你心里说：“谁能把我拉下地呢？”你虽如鹰高飞，在星宿之间搭窝，我也必从那里把你拉下来。这是耶和华的宣告。

先知对王说：“耶和华这样说：因为你把我要灭绝的人从你手中放走，所以要你替他偿命。要你的人民抵偿他的人民。”

生擒了亚玛力人的王亚甲，用刀杀灭了所有人民。但扫罗和众人怜惜亚甲，也爱惜上好的牛羊、肥牛犊、羊羔和一切美好的东西。他们不愿彻底毁灭这些；凡是卑贱的、没有价值的，他们就彻底毁灭。耶和华的话临到撒母耳说：“我后悔立了扫罗为王，因为他已经离去不跟随我，也不执行我的命令了。”撒母耳非常忿怒，整夜哀求耶和华。撒母耳清早起来，要在早晨去见扫罗；有人告诉撒母耳：“扫罗到了迦密，在那里为自己立了一座纪念碑，然后转身下到吉甲去了。”撒母耳到了扫罗那里，扫罗对他说：“愿耶和华赐福给你！我已经执行了耶和华的命令。”撒母耳说：“我耳中听见有羊叫牛鸣的声音，到底是什么呢？”扫罗回答：“这是众民从亚玛力人那里带来的，因为他们爱惜这些上好的牛羊，要献给耶和华你的神为祭；其余的，我们都已经彻底毁灭了。”撒母耳对扫罗说：“住口吧！让我把耶和华昨天晚上对我所说的话告诉你。”扫罗对他说：“请说。”撒母耳说：“从前你虽然自以为微小，不是作了以色列众支派的首领吗？耶和华膏立了你作以色列的王，差遣你去，说：‘你去彻底毁灭那些犯罪的亚玛力人，攻打他们，直到把他们全部毁灭。’你为什么没有听从耶和华的话，急于夺取战利品，作了耶和华看为恶的事呢？”扫罗回答撒母耳：“我实在听从了耶和华的话，行了耶和华差遣我行的路；我把亚玛力人的王亚甲带了回来，又把亚玛力人都彻底毁灭了。

要倒尽你忿激的怒气，观看所有骄傲的人，使他们降卑。观看所有骄傲的人，把他制伏，把恶人践踏在他们的地方，

主在锡安山和耶路撒冷成全了他一切工作的时候，他必说：我要惩罚亚述王自大的心所结的果子，和他眼目高傲的态度。

他把谋士剥衣掳去，并且愚弄审判官。他解开了君王绑人的绳索，又用腰布捆绑君王的腰。

他的臣仆对他说：“我们听说以色列家的王都是仁慈的王；我们不如腰束麻布，头套绳索，出去投降以色列王，或许他会使你的性命存活。”
