有一個神人走近前來見以色列王說：『永恆主這麼說：「亞蘭人既說：『永恆主是山神，不是山谷的神』，那麼我就要將這一大隊蜂擁軍兵都交在你手裏，你們便知道我乃是永恆主。」』

有上帝僕進見以色列王曰、耶和華云、亞蘭人謂耶和華乃山嶽之神、非平原之神、故我必以此羣眾付於爾手、爾則知我乃耶和華、

上帝之僕至、告以色列王曰、耶和華云、亞蘭人謂耶和華乃山嶽之上帝、非平原之上帝、故我必以此實繁有徒、付於爾手、使爾知我乃耶和華。

有神人進前、告以色列王曰、主如是云、亞蘭人言我乃山岳之神、非平原之神、故我必以此大軍旅付於爾手、使爾知我乃主、

The man of God came up and told the king of Israel,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because the Arameans think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord.’”

The man of God came up to the king of Israel again. He told him,“ The Lord says,‘ The men of Aram think the Lord is a god of the hills. They do not think he is a god of the valleys. So I, the Lord, will hand their huge army over to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”

And a man of God came near and said to the king of Israel,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ The Lord is a god of the hills but he is not a god of the valleys,” therefore I will give all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”

Then the man of God went to the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the Lord says: The Arameans have said,‘ The Lord is a god of the hills and not of the plains.’ So I will defeat this vast army for you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

Then the man of God approached and said to the king of Israel,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because the Arameans have said,“ The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over all this whole huge army to you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

Then a man of God approached and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Since the Arameans have said,“ The Lord is a god of mountains, but He is not a god of valleys,” therefore I will hand over to you all this great multitude, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’ ”

And a man of God came near and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, Because the Syrians have said, Jehovah is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys; therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thy hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

Then the man of God approached and said to the king of Israel,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Because the Arameans have said: Yahweh is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys, I will hand over all this great army to you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD[ is] God of the hills, but he[ is] not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I[ am] the LORD.

The prophet visited the king of Israel and said,“ This is what the LORD says:‘ Because the Syrians said,“ The LORD is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over to you this entire huge army. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

A man of God came near and spoke to the king of Israel, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Because the Syrians have said,“ Yahweh is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys;” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am Yahweh.’”

你們就知道我是耶和華；因為你們沒有遵行我的律例，也沒有順從我的典章，卻隨從你們四圍列國的惡規。」

我必伸手攻擊他們，使他們的地從曠野到第伯拉他一切住處極其荒涼，他們就知道我是耶和華。」

主啊，以色列人既在仇敵面前轉背逃跑，我還有甚麼可說的呢？迦南人和這地一切的居民聽見了就必圍困我們，將我們的名從地上除滅。那時你為你的大名要怎樣行呢？」

我伸手攻擊埃及，將以色列人從他們中間領出來的時候，埃及人就要知道我是耶和華。」

我卻顧惜我的聖名，就是以色列家在所到的列國中所褻瀆的。「所以，你要對以色列家說，主耶和華如此說：以色列家啊，我行這事不是為你們，乃是為我的聖名，就是在你們到的列國中所褻瀆的。我要使我的大名顯為聖；這名在列國中已被褻瀆，就是你們在他們中間所褻瀆的。我在他們眼前，在你們身上顯為聖的時候，他們就知道我是耶和華。這是主耶和華說的。

主耶和華說：你們要知道，我這樣行不是為你們。以色列家啊，當為自己的行為抱愧蒙羞。

那先知來見以色列王，對他說：「你當自強，留心怎樣防備；因為到明年這時候，亞蘭王必上來攻擊你。」亞蘭王的臣僕對亞蘭王說：「以色列人的神是山神，所以他們勝過我們；但在平原與他們打仗，我們必定得勝。

我卻要留下他們幾個人得免刀劍、饑荒、瘟疫，使他們在所到的各國中述說他們一切可憎的事，人就知道我是耶和華。」

在他有能力和智慧，被誘惑的與誘惑人的都是屬他。他把謀士剝衣擄去，又使審判官變成愚人。他放鬆君王的綁，又用帶子捆他們的腰。他把祭司剝衣擄去，又使有能的人傾敗。

當那日，我必分別我百姓所住的歌珊地，使那裏沒有成羣的蒼蠅，好叫你知道我是天下的耶和華。

因你向我發烈怒，又因你狂傲的話達到我耳中，我就要用鈎子鈎上你的鼻子，把嚼環放在你口裏，使你從原路轉回去。「以色列人哪，我賜你們一個證據：你們今年要吃自生的，明年也要吃自長的，至於後年，你們要耕種收割，栽植葡萄園，吃其中的果子。猶大家所逃脫餘剩的，仍要往下扎根，向上結果。必有餘剩的民從耶路撒冷而出；必有逃脫的人從錫安山而來。萬軍之耶和華的熱心必成就這事。「所以耶和華論亞述王如此說：他必不得來到這城，也不在這裏射箭，不得拿盾牌到城前，也不築壘攻城。他從哪條路來，必從那條路回去，必不得來到這城。這是耶和華說的。因我為自己的緣故，又為我僕人大衛的緣故，必保護拯救這城。」耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來一看，都是死屍了。亞述王西拿基立就拔營回去，住在尼尼微。

我要以你們為我的百姓，我也要作你們的神。你們要知道我是耶和華－你們的神，是救你們脫離埃及人之重擔的。

義人見仇敵遭報就歡喜，要在惡人的血中洗腳。因此，人必說：義人誠然有善報；在地上果有施行判斷的神！

耶和華啊，我們的罪孽雖然作見證告我們，還求你為你名的緣故行事。我們本是多次背道，得罪了你。

惟恐仇敵惹動我，只怕敵人錯看，說：是我們手的能力，並非耶和華所行的。

為何容外邦人說「他們的神在哪裏」呢？願你使外邦人知道你在我們眼前伸你僕人流血的冤。

你們沒有吃餅，也沒有喝清酒濃酒。這要使你們知道，耶和華是你們的神。

我卻為我名的緣故沒有這樣行，免得我名在他們所住的列國人眼前被褻瀆；我領他們出埃及地，在這列國人的眼前將自己向他們顯現。

那時，耶和華的靈在會中臨到利未人亞薩的後裔－瑪探雅的玄孫，耶利的曾孫，比拿雅的孫子，撒迦利雅的兒子雅哈悉。他說：「猶大眾人、耶路撒冷的居民，和約沙法王，你們請聽。耶和華對你們如此說：『不要因這大軍恐懼驚惶；因為勝敗不在乎你們，乃在乎神。明日你們要下去迎敵，他們是從洗斯坡上來，你們必在耶魯伊勒曠野前的谷口遇見他們。猶大和耶路撒冷人哪，這次你們不要爭戰，要擺陣站着，看耶和華為你們施行拯救。不要恐懼，也不要驚惶。明日當出去迎敵，因為耶和華與你們同在。』」約沙法就面伏於地，猶大眾人和耶路撒冷的居民也俯伏在耶和華面前，叩拜耶和華。哥轄族和可拉族的利未人都起來，用極大的聲音讚美耶和華以色列的神。次日清早，眾人起來往提哥亞的曠野去。出去的時候，約沙法站着說：「猶大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，要聽我說：信耶和華－你們的神就必立穩；信他的先知就必亨通。」

「我要在我民以色列中顯出我的聖名，也不容我的聖名再被褻瀆，列國人就知道我是耶和華－以色列中的聖者。

我卻為我名的緣故，沒有這樣行，免得我的名在我領他們出埃及的列國人眼前被褻瀆。
