“ Soon I will die, going the way of everything on earth. Deep in your hearts you know that every promise of the Lord your God has come true. Not a single one has failed!

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Then the Lord commissioned Joshua son of Nun with these words:“ Be strong and courageous, for you must bring the people of Israel into the land I swore to give them. I will be with you.”

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.

That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment,

Timothy, my dear son, be strong through the grace that God gives you in Christ Jesus.

Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.

And I know you are sending me to my death— the destination of all who live.

“ Now, O Lord my God, you have made me king instead of my father, David, but I am like a little child who doesn’t know his way around.

Be courageous! Let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. May the Lord’s will be done.”

Then David continued,“ Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple of the Lord is finished correctly.

He must always keep that copy with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the Lord his God by obeying all the terms of these instructions and decrees.This regular reading will prevent him from becoming proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. It will also prevent him from turning away from these commands in the smallest way. And it will ensure that he and his descendants will reign for many generations in Israel.

No one can live forever; all will die. No one can escape the power of the grave. Interlude

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you.
