Elijah left there and found Elisha son of Shaphat as he was plowing. Twelve teams of oxen were in front of him, and he was with the twelfth team. Elijah walked by him and threw his mantle over him.

So Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him.

Elijah left Mount Horeb. He saw Elisha, the son of Shaphat. Elisha was plowing in a field. He was driving the last of 12 pairs of oxen. Elijah went up to him. He threw his coat around him.

So he departed from there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen in front of him, and he was with the twelfth. Elijah passed by him and cast his cloak upon him.

So Elijah went and found Elisha son of Shaphat plowing a field. There were twelve teams of oxen in the field, and Elisha was plowing with the twelfth team. Elijah went over to him and threw his cloak across his shoulders and then walked away.

Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water, which parted to the right and left. Then the two of them crossed over on dry ground.

Then Saul asked her,“ What does he look like?”“ An old man is coming up,” she replied.“ He’s wearing a robe.” Then Saul knew that it was Samuel, and he knelt low with his face to the ground and paid homage.

picked up the mantle that had fallen off Elijah, and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.He took the mantle Elijah had dropped, and he struck the water.“ Where is the LORD God of Elijah?” he asked. He struck the water himself, and it parted to the right and the left, and Elisha crossed over.

So Amos answered Amaziah,“ I was not a prophet or the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman, and I took care of sycamore figs.

He chose David his servant and took him from the sheep pens;he brought him from tending ewes to be shepherd over his people Jacob— over Israel, his inheritance.He shepherded them with a pure heart and guided them with his skillful hands.

Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

The angel of the LORD came, and he sat under the oak that was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash, the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was threshing wheat in the winepress in order to hide it from the Midianites.

When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. Suddenly, a voice came to him and said,“ What are you doing here, Elijah?”

He will say,‘ I am not a prophet; I work the land, for a man purchased me as a servant since my youth.’

As he was walking along the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon( who is called Peter), and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea— for they were fishermen.“ Follow me,” he told them,“ and I will make you fish for people.”
