For David had done what was right in the eyes of the Lord and had not failed to keep any of the Lord’s commands all the days of his life— except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.

David had done what was right in the sight of the Lord. He had kept all the Lord’ s commands. He had obeyed them all the days of his life. But he hadn’t obeyed the Lord in the case of Uriah, the Hittite.

你若以纯正的心和正直行在我面前，效法你父大卫所行的，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，谨守我的律例典章，

他们两人在上帝面前都是义人，遵行主的一切诫命和条例，没有可指责的。

你为什么藐视耶和华的命令，做他眼中看为恶的事呢？你用刀击杀赫人乌利亚，又娶了他的妻子为妻，借亚扪人的刀杀死他。现在刀剑必永不离开你的家，因你藐视我，娶了赫人乌利亚的妻子为妻。’

大卫派人打听那妇人是谁。有人说：“她不是以连的女儿，赫人乌利亚的妻子拔示巴吗？”大卫派使者去把妇人接来；她来到大卫那里，那时她的月经刚洁净，大卫与她同寝。她就回家去了。

大卫在世的时候，遵行了上帝的旨意就长眠了，归到他祖宗那里，已见朽坏；

约西亚行耶和华眼中看为正的事，行他祖先大卫一切所行的道，不偏左右。

上帝啊，求你按你的慈爱恩待我！按你丰盛的怜悯涂去我的过犯！

我看重你的一切命令，就不致羞愧。

亚比央行他父亲从前所犯一切的罪，他的心不像他曾祖父大卫以纯正的心顺服耶和华—他的上帝。

他行耶和华眼中看为正的事，行他祖先大卫所行的道，不偏左右。

他废了扫罗之后，就兴起大卫作他们的王，又为他作见证说：‘我寻得耶西的儿子大卫，他是合我心意的人，他要遵行我一切的旨意。’
