Asa did what was right in the Lord’s eyes, as his ancestor David had done.

Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as his father David had done.

Asa did what was right in the sight of the Lord. That’s what King David had done.

And Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father had done.

Asa did what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight, as his ancestor David had done.

Asa did what was right in the LORD’s sight, as his ancestor David had done.

Now Asa did what was right in the sight of the Lord, like his father David.

Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as did his father David.

And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, as did David his father.

Asa did what the LORD approved like his ancestor David had done.

Asa did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, as David his father did.

Asa did what was good and right in the sight of the Lord his God.

Then Asa cried out to the Lord his God:“ Lord, there is no one besides You to help the mighty and those without strength. Help us, Lord our God, for we depend on You, and in Your name we have come against this large army. Yahweh, You are our God. Do not let a mere mortal hinder You.”

At that time, Hanani the seer came to King Asa of Judah and said to him,“ Because you depended on the king of Aram and have not depended on the Lord your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand.Were not the Cushites and Libyans a vast army with many chariots and horsemen? When you depended on Yahweh, He handed them over to you.For the eyes of Yahweh roam throughout the earth to show Himself strong for those whose hearts are completely His. You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on.”Asa was angry with the seer and put him in prison because of his anger over this. And Asa mistreated some of the people at that time.

Abijam walked in all the sins his father before him had committed, and he was not completely devoted to the Lord his God as his ancestor David had been.

The high places were not taken away from Israel; nevertheless, Asa was wholehearted his entire life.
