你们要将所赶出的国民侍奉神的各地方，无论是在高山，在小山，在各青翠树下，都毁坏了；

以色列人暗中行不正的事，违背耶和华他们的神，在他们所有的城邑，从瞭望楼直到坚固城，建筑邱坛；在各高冈上、各青翠树下立柱像和木偶；

重新建筑他父希西家所毁坏的邱坛，又为巴力筑坛，做亚舍拉像，效法以色列王亚哈所行的，且敬拜侍奉天上的万象；在耶和华殿宇中筑坛。耶和华曾指着这殿说：“我必立我的名在耶路撒冷。”他在耶和华殿的两院中为天上的万象筑坛，并使他的儿子经火，又观兆，用法术，立交鬼的和行巫术的，多行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，惹动他的怒气；又在殿内立雕刻的亚舍拉像。耶和华曾对大卫和他儿子所罗门说：“我在以色列众支派中所选择的耶路撒冷和这殿，必立我的名，直到永远。

因为我领他们到了我起誓应许赐给他们的地，他们看见各高山、各茂密树，就在那里献祭，奉上惹我发怒的供物，也在那里焚烧馨香的祭牲，并浇上奠祭。我就对他们说：你们所上的那高处叫什么呢？那高处的名字叫巴麻直到今日。

他们的儿女记念他们高冈上、青翠树旁的坛和木偶。

耶和华必击打以色列人，使他们摇动，像水中的芦苇一般；又将他们从耶和华赐给他们列祖的美地上拔出来，分散在大河那边；因为他们做木偶，惹耶和华发怒。

我必从你中间拔出木偶，又毁灭你的城邑。

“你们不可做什么虚无的神像，不可立雕刻的偶像或是柱像，也不可在你们的地上安什么錾成的石像，向它跪拜，因为我是耶和华你们的神。

“我在古时折断你的轭，解开你的绳索。你说：‘我必不侍奉耶和华’；因为你在各高冈上、各青翠树下屈身行淫。

并在邱坛上、山冈上、各青翠树下献祭烧香。

也不可为自己设立柱像；这是耶和华你神所恨恶的。

只要承认你的罪孽，就是你违背耶和华你的神，在各青翠树下向别神东奔西跑，没有听从我的话。这是耶和华说的。’

当那些日子，百姓仍在邱坛献祭，因为还没有为耶和华的名建殿。
