‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not go up to fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Go home, every one of you, for this is my doing.’” So they obeyed the word of the Lord and went home again, as the Lord had ordered.

‘ The Lord says,“ Do not go up to fight against the Israelites. They are your relatives. I want every one of you to go back home. Things have happened exactly the way I planned them.” ’ ” So the fighting men obeyed the Lord’ s message. They went home again, just as he had ordered.

‘ Thus says the Lord, You shall not go up or fight against your relatives the people of Israel. Every man return to his home, for this thing is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the Lord and went home again, according to the word of the Lord.

‘ This is what the Lord says: Do not fight against your relatives, the Israelites. Go back home, for what has happened is my doing!’” So they obeyed the message of the Lord and went home, as the Lord had commanded.

‘ This is what the LORD says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you return home, for this situation is from me.’” So they listened to the word of the LORD and went back according to the word of the LORD.

‘ This is what the Lord says:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your relatives the sons of Israel; return, every man to his house, for this thing has come from Me.” ’ ” So they listened to the word of the Lord, and returned to go their way in accordance with the word of the Lord.

‘ Thus says the Lord:“ You shall not go up nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel. Let every man return to his house, for this thing is from Me.”’” Therefore they obeyed the word of the Lord, and turned back, according to the word of the Lord.

Thus saith Jehovah, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is of me. So they hearkened unto the word of Jehovah, and returned and went their way, according to the word of Jehovah.

‘ This is what the Lord says: You are not to march up and fight against your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you must return home, for I have done this.’” So they listened to what the Lord said and went back as He had told them.

Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the LORD, and returned to depart, according to the word of the LORD.

‘ The LORD says this:“ Do not attack and make war with your brothers, the Israelites. Each of you go home, for I have caused this to happen.”’” They obeyed the LORD and went home as the LORD had ordered them to do.

‘ Yahweh says,“ You shall not go up or fight against your brothers, the children of Israel. Everyone return to his house; for this thing is from me.”’” So they listened to Yahweh’s word, and returned and went their way, according to Yahweh’s word.

但那裏有耶和華的一個先知，名叫俄德，出來迎接往撒馬利亞去的軍兵，對他們說：「因為耶和華－你們列祖的神惱怒猶大人，所以將他們交在你們手裏，你們竟怒氣沖天，大行殺戮。如今你們又有意強逼猶大人和耶路撒冷人作你們的奴婢，你們豈不也有得罪耶和華－你們神的事嗎？現在你們當聽我說，要將擄來的弟兄釋放回去，因為耶和華向你們已經大發烈怒。」於是，以法蓮人的幾個族長－就是約哈難的兒子亞撒利雅、米實利末的兒子比利家、沙龍的兒子耶希西家、哈得萊的兒子亞瑪撒－起來攔擋出兵回來的人，對他們說：「你們不可帶進這被擄的人來！你們想要使我們得罪耶和華，加增我們的罪惡過犯？因為我們的罪過甚大，已經有烈怒臨到以色列人了。」於是帶兵器的人將擄來的人口和掠來的財物都留在眾首領和會眾的面前。以上提名的那些人就站起，使被擄的人前來；其中有赤身的，就從所掠的財物中拿出衣服和鞋來，給他們穿，又給他們吃喝，用膏抹他們；其中有軟弱的，就使他們騎驢，送到棕樹城耶利哥他們弟兄那裏；隨後就回撒馬利亞去了。

耶和華如此說：『你們不可上去與你們的弟兄爭戰，各歸各家去吧！因為這事出於我。』」眾人就聽從耶和華的話歸回，不去與耶羅波安爭戰。

有一個神人來見亞瑪謝，對他說：「王啊，不要使以色列的軍兵與你同去，因為耶和華不與以色列人以法蓮的後裔同在。你若一定要去，就奮勇爭戰吧！但神必使你敗在敵人面前；因為神能助人得勝，也能使人傾敗。」

他們立君王，卻不由我；他們立首領，我卻不認。他們用金銀為自己製造偶像，以致被剪除。

一日，耶羅波安出了耶路撒冷，示羅人先知亞希雅在路上遇見他；亞希雅身上穿着一件新衣。他們二人在田野，以外並無別人。亞希雅將自己穿的那件新衣撕成十二片，對耶羅波安說：「你可以拿十片。耶和華－以色列的神如此說：『我必將國從所羅門手裏奪回，將十個支派賜給你。（我因僕人大衛和我在以色列眾支派中所選擇的耶路撒冷城的緣故，仍給所羅門留一個支派。）因為他離棄我，敬拜西頓人的女神亞斯她錄、摩押的神基抹，和亞捫人的神米勒公，沒有遵從我的道，行我眼中看為正的事，守我的律例典章，像他父親大衛一樣。但我不從他手裏將全國奪回；使他終身為君，是因我所揀選的僕人大衛謹守我的誡命律例。我必從他兒子的手裏將國奪回，以十個支派賜給你，還留一個支派給他的兒子，使我僕人大衛在我所選擇立我名的耶路撒冷城裏，在我面前長有燈光。我必揀選你，使你照心裏一切所願的，作王治理以色列。你若聽從我一切所吩咐你的，遵行我的道，行我眼中看為正的事，謹守我的律例誡命，像我僕人大衛所行的，我就與你同在，為你立堅固的家，像我為大衛所立的一樣，將以色列人賜給你。
