And Moab said unto the elders of Midian, Now shall this company lick up all[ that are] round about us, as the ox licketh up the grass of the field. And Balak the son of Zippor[ was] king of the Moabites at that time.

Now the name of the Israelite that was slain,[ even] that was slain with the Midianitish woman,[ was] Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.

And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.

And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these[ were] the children of Keturah.
