Then King Solomon sent men, and they brought him down from the altar. And Adonijah came and bowed down to King Solomon, and Solomon said,“ Go to your home.”

王說：「讓押沙龍回自己的家，不要讓他來見我！」押沙龍便返回自己家中，沒有朝見王。

拔示芭就向王俯伏下拜說：「我主我王萬歲！」

押沙龍在耶路撒冷住了兩年，沒有跟王見過面。

拔示芭向王屈身下拜。王問道：「你有什麼事嗎？」

王又派人將示每召來，對他說：「你要在耶路撒冷建屋居住，不得出城去其他地方。

第三天，有一個衣服撕裂、頭蒙灰塵的人從掃羅軍營中跑到大衛面前，俯伏下拜。

孩子啊，要敬畏耶和華和君王，不要跟反復無常之徒為伍。
