We accept human testimony, but God’s testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.

We accept what people say when they are witnesses. But it’s more important when God is a witness. That’s because it is what God says about his Son.

If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son.

Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son.

If we accept human testimony, God’s testimony is greater, because it is God’s testimony that he has given about his Son.

连你们的律法上也记载着：两个人的见证才是有效的。我为自己做见证，派我来的父也为我做见证。”他们就问耶稣：“你的‘父’在哪里？”耶稣回答：“你们既不认识我，也不认识我的父；如果你们认识我，也就认识我的父。”

藉着这两件不能更改的事——在这些事上，神不可能说谎——使我们这些逃往避难所、抓住那摆在前面盼望的人，可以得到极大的鼓励。

彼得还在说话的时候，忽然有一朵灿烂的云彩笼罩了他们，看哪，有声音从云中出来，说：“这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的。你们当听从他！”

“如果我为自己做见证，我的见证就无效。为我做见证的另有一位，并且我知道，他为我做的见证是有效的。你们曾经派人到约翰那里，他为真理做了见证。其实我所接受的见证不是从人来的。不过我说这些话，是为了要你们得救。约翰是一盏燃烧发光的灯，你们情愿在他的光里快乐一时。“我有比约翰更大的见证，因为父交给我工作要我去完成。我现在做的这些工作正为我见证：就是父差派了我。派我来的父也亲自为我做了见证。你们从来没有听到他的声音，也没有看到他的相貌，
