The one who says he is in the light but still hates his fellow Christian is still in the darkness.

Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister is still in the darkness.

If anyone says“ I love God” and yet hates his fellow Christian, he is a liar, because the one who does not love his fellow Christian whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

Therefore do not be surprised, brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.We know that we have crossed over from death to life because we love our fellow Christians. The one who does not love remains in death.Everyone who hates his fellow Christian is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.We have come to know love by this: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.But whoever has the world’s possessions and sees his fellow Christian in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God reside in such a person?

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, but do not have love, I receive no benefit.

If we say we have fellowship with him and yet keep on walking in the darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth.

and know his will and approve the superior things because you receive instruction from the law,and if you are convinced that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,an educator of the senseless, a teacher of little children, because you have in the law the essential features of knowledge and of the truth–therefore you who teach someone else, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?

Jesus replied,“ If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin, but now because you claim that you can see, your guilt remains.”
