正如大家所承认的，敬神的奥秘是极大的：神以肉身显现，被圣灵证实，被天使观看，被传于万邦，被世人信仰，被接在荣耀里。

继续犯罪的人属于魔鬼，因为魔鬼从起初就一直犯罪。为此，神的儿子显现了，是为了废除魔鬼的作为。

并且你们也要做见证，因为你们从一开始就与我在一起。

这是基于那永恒生命的盼望，而这盼望是那不撒谎的神在亘古以前所应许的。

在耶和华创世之始，在太初创造以先，他就拥有了我。从亘古、从最初、从大地之始，我已经被立。在没有深渊、没有涌流众水的泉源之时，我已经诞生。在群山被安置以先、冈陵被安置之前，我已经诞生。那时耶和华还没有造大地、田野，也没有造世上最初的尘土。在他确立诸天时，我在那里——他在渊面上立定圆穹，他布置天上的云朵，使深渊的泉眼喷涌；他为海洋设立界限，使众水不能违背他的吩咐；他立定了大地的根基——那时我在他身边为工匠，是他每天的喜乐，时时在他面前欢笑，

耶稣说：“我就是道路、真理、生命。要不是藉着我，没有人能到父那里去。

太初有道，道与神同在，道就是神。这道太初与神同在。

你们杀害了生命的创始者，神却使他从死人中复活了！我们就是这事的见证人。

而现在，藉着我们的救主基督耶稣的显现，已经表明出来；基督一方面废除了死亡，另一方面藉着福音彰显了生命和不朽。

我从父而出，来到这世界；又要离开这世界，到父那里去。”

所以，我这同做长老的、做基督苦难见证人的、也在那将要显现的荣耀中有份的，我恳求你们中间的长老们：

父啊，现在愿你用那荣耀，与你自己一起荣耀我，那荣耀是世界存在以前我与你一起就有的。

耶稣从死人中复活后，这已经是他第三次向门徒们显现了。

除了从天上降下来的人子，没有人升过天。

“这位耶稣，神已经使他复活了。我们都是这事的见证人。

不是显现给全体民众，而是显现给神预先选定的见证人，就是我们这些在他从死人中复活以后，与他一起吃、一起喝的人。

我所说的，是我从我父那里所看到的；而实际上，你们所做的，是从你们的父那里所听到的。”
