For it is written in the Law of Moses:“ Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.” Is it about oxen that God is concerned?

Here is what is written in the Law of Moses.“ Do not stop an ox from eating while it helps separate the grain from the straw.”( Deuteronomy 25:4) Is it oxen that God is concerned about?

For it is written in the Law of Moses,“ You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain.” Is it for oxen that God is concerned?

For the law of Moses says,“ You must not muzzle an ox to keep it from eating as it treads out the grain.” Was God thinking only about oxen when he said this?

因為聖經上說：「牛在踩穀時，不可籠住牠的嘴。」又說：「做工的得報酬是應該的。」

牠們都倚靠你按時供應食物。

世人都仰賴你，你按時賜給他們所需的食物。你慷慨滿足一切生命的需要。

你們看，烏鴉不種也不收，沒倉也沒庫，上帝尚且養活牠們，你們比飛鳥不知要貴重多少！「你們誰能用憂慮使自己多活片刻呢？既然你們連這樣的小事都無能為力，又何必為其餘的事憂慮呢？看看百合花如何生長吧，它們既不勞苦，也不紡織，但我告訴你們，就連所羅門王最顯赫時的穿戴還不如一朵百合花！「野地的草今天還在，明天就要被丟在爐中，上帝還這樣裝扮它們，何況你們呢？你們的信心太小了！

但第七天是你的上帝耶和華的安息日，你和兒女、僕婢、牛驢等牲畜以及你那裡的外族人在這一天不可做任何工，好讓僕婢和你一樣得到休息。

祂以雲霞遮蔽天空，降雨水滋潤大地，使山上長出綠草。祂賜食物給走獸，餵養嗷嗷待哺的小烏鴉。

「你們看天上的飛鳥，牠們不種，不收，也不在倉裡積存糧食，你們的天父尚且養活牠們，難道你們還不如飛鳥貴重嗎？你們誰能用憂慮使自己多活片刻呢？「何必為穿著憂慮呢？你們看看野地的百合花是如何生長的，它們既不勞苦，也不紡織。但我告訴你們，就連所羅門王最顯赫時的穿戴還不如一朵百合花！你們信心太小了！野地裡的草今天還在，明天就丟在爐中化為灰燼，上帝還這樣裝扮它們，何況你們呢？

「如果你們看見同胞的牛或羊走迷了路，不可視而不見，要把牠帶回去交給主人。如果主人離你們很遠，或者你們不知道主人是誰，就要把牠牽回家，等主人來找時再還給主人。見到同胞遺失的驢、衣物或其他東西，都要這樣處理，不可視而不見。如果在路上看見同胞的牛或驢倒在地上，不可視而不見，要幫忙把牠扶起來。

耶和華使驢開口對巴蘭說：「我做錯了什麼，你竟打我三次！」巴蘭說：「因為你戲弄我。如果我手中有刀，早就把你宰了！」驢對巴蘭說：「我是你從小就騎的驢，我可曾這樣對你？」巴蘭說：「沒有。」那時，耶和華開了巴蘭的眼，他才看見耶和華的天使持刀攔在路上，便俯伏在地。耶和華的天使對他說：「你為何三次打你的驢？我特意來阻擋你，因為你走的路在我眼中是邪路。你的驢看見我，一連躲避了三次，驢若沒有躲開，我早已殺了你，只放過驢。」巴蘭對耶和華的天使說：「我有罪了，我不知道是你攔在路上。如果你反對我去，我就回去。」耶和華的天使說：「跟這些人去吧，但你只許按我的指示說話。」於是，巴蘭跟巴勒的使臣去了。

我怎能不愛惜這尼尼微大城呢？城中單是連左右手都分不清的人就有十二萬多，還有許多的牲畜。」
