他人且操此權、況我乎、然我不為也、寧凡事容忍、免阻基督福音、

他人且操此權、況我乎、然我不為之、寧忍諸難、恐阻基督福音、

他人尚操此權於爾中、況我儕乎、然我儕未用此權、寧忍一切、免阻基督之福音、

他人尚且對爾享此權利、況吾儕乎？然吾儕向未行使此權、而甘受困乏者、蓋不欲在基督福音道上、置任何之障礙也。

If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ.

Others have the right to receive help from you. Don’t we have even more right to do so? But we didn’t use that right. No, we have put up with everything. We didn’t want to keep the good news of Christ from spreading.

If others share this rightful claim on you, do not we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ.

If you support others who preach to you, shouldn’t we have an even greater right to be supported? But we have never used this right. We would rather put up with anything than be an obstacle to the Good News about Christ.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right; instead, we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others share the right over you, do we not more? Nevertheless, we did not use this right, but we endure all things so that we will cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

If others partake of this right over you, do not we yet more? Nevertheless we did not use this right; but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? However, we have not made use of this right; instead we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others be partakers of[ this] power over you,[ are] not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

If others receive this right from you, are we not more deserving? But we have not made use of this right. Instead we endure everything so that we may not be a hindrance to the gospel of Christ.

What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.

But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast.

But I have used none of these things, nor have I written these things that it should be done so to me; for it would be better for me to die than that anyone should make my boasting void.

Did I commit sin in humbling myself that you might be exalted, because I preached the gospel of God to you free of charge?I robbed other churches, taking wages from them to minister to you.And when I was present with you, and in need, I was a burden to no one, for what I lacked the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied. And in everything I kept myself from being burdensome to you, and so I will keep myself.As the truth of Christ is in me, no one shall stop me from this boasting in the regions of Achaia.

“ Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.”

Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated?

and all of them conspired together to come and attack Jerusalem and create confusion.

To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless.And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure;

So, because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and worked; for by occupation they were tentmakers.

We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.

For this reason I also have been much hindered from coming to you.

And he said to them,“ Do not hinder me, since the Lord has prospered my way; send me away so that I may go to my master.”

If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

nor did we eat anyone’s bread free of charge, but worked with labor and toil night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you,not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example of how you should follow us.

Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.“ So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.I have coveted no one’s silver or gold or apparel.Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me.

I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you.For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Nor did we seek glory from men, either from you or from others, when we might have made demands as apostles of Christ.But we were gentle among you, just as a nursing mother cherishes her own children.So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.For you remember, brethren, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

For you put up with it if one brings you into bondage, if one devours you, if one takes from you, if one exalts himself, if one strikes you on the face.

For what is it in which you were inferior to other churches, except that I myself was not burdensome to you? Forgive me this wrong!Now for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be burdensome to you; for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
