關於祭肉問題、吾人固知偶像皆屬子虛烏有；亦知天主之外更無真神。

So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that“ An idol is nothing at all in the world” and that“ There is no God but one.”

Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

Concerning therefore the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no God but one.

About eating food offered to idols, then, we know that“ an idol is nothing in the world,” and that“ there is no God but one.”

As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol[ is] nothing in the world, and that[ there is] none other God but one.

With regard then to eating food sacrificed to idols, we know that“ an idol in this world is nothing,” and that“ there is no God but one.”

Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one.

「以色列啊，你要聽！耶和華－我們的神是獨一的主。

看哪，你們屬乎虛無，你們的作為也屬虛空；那選擇你們的是可憎惡的。

所以，今日你要知道，也要記在心裏，天上地下惟有耶和華他是神，再沒有別的了。

一神－就是萬人之父，超越萬有之上，貫通萬有，在萬有之中。

耶和華－以色列的君王，以色列的救贖主－萬軍之耶和華如此說：「我是首先的，也是末後的；除我以外再沒有神。

因為只有一位神，在神和人之間也只有一位中保，是成為人的基督耶穌。

耶穌回答：「第一是：『以色列啊，你要聽，主－我們的神是獨一的主。

從你在母腹中就造了你，你的救贖主－耶和華如此說：「我－耶和華創造萬物，獨自鋪張諸天，親自展開大地；

這是要顯給你看，使你知道，惟有耶和華他是神，除他以外，再沒有別的了。

「諸位，為甚麼做這些事呢？我們也是人，性情和你們一樣。我們傳福音給你們，是要你們離棄這些虛妄的事，歸向那創造天、地、海和其中萬物的永生的神。

「坐在基路伯之上萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神啊，你，惟有你是地上萬國的神，你創造了天和地。

人人都如同畜牲，毫無知識；銀匠都因偶像羞愧，他所鑄的偶像本為虛假，它們裏面並無氣息。它們都是虛無的，是迷惑人的東西，到它們受罰的時刻必被除滅。

禍哉！那對木頭說「醒起」，對啞巴石頭說「起來」的人！偶像豈能教導人呢？看哪，它以金銀包裹，其中並無氣息。惟耶和華在他的聖殿中，全地都當在他面前肅靜。

你們看到，也聽見這保羅不但在以弗所，也幾乎在亞細亞全地，引誘迷惑了許多人，說：『人手所做的不是神明。』

那麼，我怎麼說呢？是說祭偶像之物算得了甚麼嗎？或說偶像算得了甚麼嗎？不，我是說，他們所獻的祭是祭鬼，不是祭神；我不願意你們與鬼來往。

我是耶和華，再沒有別的了；除了我以外再沒有神。你雖不認識我，我必給你束腰。

『主耶和華啊，你已開始將你的偉大和你大能的手顯給你僕人看。在天上，在地下，有甚麼神明能像你行事，像你有大能的作為呢？

耶和華如此說：「埃及的出產和古實的貨物必歸你；身量高大的西巴人，他們必過來歸你，為你所有。他們必帶着鎖鏈過來跟隨你，向你下拜，祈求你說：『神真是在你中間，再沒有別的，沒有別的神。』」

若有人見你這有知識的在偶像的廟裏坐席，而這人的良心是軟弱的，他豈不放膽去吃那祭過偶像的食物嗎？

他們的偶像是金的，是銀的，是人手所造的，有口卻不能言，有眼卻不能看，有耳卻不能聽，有鼻卻不能聞，有手卻不能摸，有腳卻不能走，有喉卻不能說話。造它們的要像它們一樣，凡靠它們的也必如此。

耶和華－我們的神啊，現在求你救我們脫離亞述王的手，使地上萬國都知道惟有你是耶和華。」

但是我們只有一位神，就是父，萬物都出於他，我們也歸於他；並只有一位主，就是耶穌基督，萬物都是藉着他而有，我們也是藉着他而有。可是，不是人人都有這知識。有人到現在因拜慣了偶像，仍以為所吃的是祭過偶像的食物；既然他們的良心軟弱，也就污穢了。

關於祭過偶像的食物，我們曉得「我們都有知識」，但知識使人自高自大，惟有愛心能造就人。

你們不要恐懼，也不要害怕。我豈不是從上古就告訴並指示你們了嗎？你們是我的見證人！除我以外，豈有神呢？誠然沒有磐石，就我所知，一個也沒有！」製造偶像的人盡都虛空，他們所喜悅的全無益處；偶像的見證人毫無所見，毫無所知，以致他們羞愧。

人人都如同畜牲，毫無知識；銀匠都因偶像羞愧，他所鑄的偶像本是虛假，它們裏面並無氣息。

我們的救主獨一的神，藉着我們的主耶穌基督，得享榮耀、威嚴、能力、權柄，從萬古以前，到現今，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

「『如今，看！我，惟有我是神；我以外並無別神。我使人死，我使人活；我擊傷人，也醫治人，沒有人能從我手中救出來。

惟耶和華是真神，是活的神，是永遠的王。他一發怒，大地震動；他一惱恨，列國擔當不起。

願尊貴、榮耀歸給永世的君王，那不朽壞、看不見、獨一的神，直到永永遠遠。阿們！
