婦固與處子異、無夫者慮主之事、欲其體其神成聖、有夫者慮世之事、如何悅夫、

婦與童女有別、無夫者慮主之事、欲其身與神皆成聖、有夫者慮世之事、如何悅夫、

無夫者及處女、亦能專心事主、惟求神形之聖潔，有夫者則注意世故、兼欲取悅於夫矣。

and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord’s affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world— how she can please her husband.

His concerns pull him in two directions. A single woman or a virgin is concerned about the Lord’s matters. She wants to serve the Lord with both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the matters of this world. She wants to know how she can please her husband.

and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband.

His interests are divided. In the same way, a woman who is no longer married or has never been married can be devoted to the Lord and holy in body and in spirit. But a married woman has to think about her earthly responsibilities and how to please her husband.

瑪妲為了很多伺候的事就心裡煩亂，上前來說：「主啊，我妹妹丟下我一個人伺候，你不管嗎？請叫她來幫我的忙吧。」主回答她，說：「瑪妲，瑪妲，你為很多事憂慮、煩惱，但是有一件事是需要的，而瑪麗亞選擇了那美好的一份，是不能從她那裡被拿去的。」

我的熱切盼望和期待是：我在任何事上都將不至於蒙羞；而現在也能像往常一樣，無論藉著生，還是藉著死，總要滿有膽量地讓基督在我身上被尊為大。

有一個女先知安娜，是亞設支派法努埃的女兒。她已經上了年紀，是出嫁以後與丈夫生活了七年的，後來守寡了，現在已經八十四歲。她從不離開聖殿，禁食祈禱，日夜事奉神。

所以弟兄們，我藉著神的各樣憐憫勸你們，要把自己的身體獻上，做為聖潔、蒙神喜悅的活祭；這是你們理所當然的事奉。不要效法這世代，要藉著理性的更新而改變，使你們可以分辨什麼是神的旨意——那美善、可喜悅、完美的旨意。

除了這些外在的事，還有對各教會的掛慮，天天壓在我身上。

因為你們是被重價贖回來的。所以，你們應當用自己的身體榮耀神。

看哪，原來正是這件事——你們按神的意思憂傷——在你們裡面帶來了何等的殷勤、分辯、義憤、敬畏、渴望、熱心和懲罰。你們在各方面都證明了自己在那件事上是純潔的。因此我雖然給你們寫了信，但不是為了那虧負人的，也不是為了那受虧負的，而是為了在神面前把你們對我們的殷勤，向你們顯明出來。

願賜平安的神親自使你們完全分別為聖。願你們的靈、魂、體，在我們的主耶穌基督來臨的時候，全然得蒙保守、無可指責。

這話是信實的。我希望你強調這些事，好讓那些信了神的人專心投入美好的工作；這些事對人是好事，是有益處的。

但如果有人不知道怎麼帶領自己的家，他怎麼能照顧神的教會呢？

也不要把你們身體的任何部分獻給罪，做不義的器具；相反，要像從死人中復活的人，把自己獻給神，並把身體的各部分做義的器具獻給神。

感謝神，他為了你們，把同樣的殷勤放在提多的心裡。
