So don’t boast about following a particular human leader. For everything belongs to you—

所以无论谁，都不可拿人夸口，因为万有全是你们的。

So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours,

So no more bragging about human leaders! All things are yours.

So let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,

So let no one boast in human leaders, for everything is yours—

So then, no one is to be boasting in people. For all things belong to you,

Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours:

Wherefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours;

So no one should boast in human leaders, for everything is yours—

Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

So then, no more boasting about mere mortals! For everything belongs to you,

Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,

Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?

Dear brothers and sisters, I have used Apollos and myself to illustrate what I’ve been saying. If you pay attention to what I have quoted from the Scriptures, you won’t be proud of one of your leaders at the expense of another.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

This is what the Lord says:“ Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches.But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly know me and understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love and who brings justice and righteousness to the earth, and that I delight in these things. I, the Lord, have spoken!

All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.

When one of you says,“ I am a follower of Paul,” and another says,“ I follow Apollos,” aren’t you acting just like people of the world?After all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us.I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.

Clearly, God’s promise to give the whole earth to Abraham and his descendants was based not on his obedience to God’s law, but on a right relationship with God that comes by faith.

All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory.

You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake.

Some of you are saying,“ I am a follower of Paul.” Others are saying,“ I follow Apollos,” or“ I follow Peter,” or“ I follow only Christ.”Has Christ been divided into factions? Was I, Paul, crucified for you? Were any of you baptized in the name of Paul? Of course not!I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,for now no one can say they were baptized in my name.( Oh yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas, but I don’t remember baptizing anyone else.)For Christ didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the Good News— and not with clever speech, for fear that the cross of Christ would lose its power.
