The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments,

The person who has the Spirit can judge all things. But no human being can judge those who have the Spirit. It is written,

The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.

Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

But solid food is for the mature— for those whose senses have been trained to distinguish between good and evil.

If anyone thinks he is a prophet or spiritual, he should recognize that what I write to you is the Lord’s command.

Brothers, if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so you also won’t be tempted.

Brothers, I was not able to speak to you as spiritual people but as people of the flesh, as babies in Christ.

David pleaded with God for the boy. He fasted, went home, and spent the night lying on the ground.The elders of his house stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he was unwilling and would not eat anything with them.On the seventh day the baby died. But David’s servants were afraid to tell him the baby was dead. They said,“ Look, while the baby was alive, we spoke to him, and he wouldn’t listen to us. So how can we tell him the baby is dead? While the baby was alive, you fasted and wept, but when he died, you got up and ate food.”He answered,“ While the baby was alive, I fasted and wept because I thought,‘ Who knows? The Lord may be gracious to me and let him live.’But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I’ll go to him, but he will never return to me.”

So give Your servant an obedient heart to judge Your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?”Now it pleased the Lord that Solomon had requested this.So God said to him,“ Because you have requested this and did not ask for long life or riches for yourself, or the death of your enemies, but you asked discernment for yourself to understand justice,

The secret counsel of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He reveals His covenant to them.

Therefore don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.

If anyone wants to do His will, he will understand whether the teaching is from God or if I am speaking on My own.

The one who keeps a command will not experience anything harmful, and a wise heart knows the right time and procedure.

For this reason also, since the day we heard this, we haven’t stopped praying for you. We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

Paul wanted Timothy to go with him, so he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, since they all knew that his father was a Greek.

Some men came down from Judea and began to teach the brothers:“ Unless you are circumcised according to the custom prescribed by Moses, you cannot be saved!”But after Paul and Barnabas had engaged them in serious argument and debate, the church arranged for Paul and Barnabas and some others of them to go up to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem concerning this controversy.When they had been sent on their way by the church, they passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, explaining in detail the conversion of the Gentiles, and they created great joy among all the brothers.When they arrived at Jerusalem, they were welcomed by the church, the apostles, and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.But some of the believers from the party of the Pharisees stood up and said,“ It is necessary to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of Moses!”

so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,
