兄弟乎、爾知司提反家乃亞該亞初實之果、且專事聖徒者、

爾知士提反家、在亞該亞、首宗主、專事聖徒、

兄弟乎、爾知司提反家、乃在亞該亞首先信主者、且專心事聖徒、

斯德法一家、乃亞該亞之首先奉教者、專心為聖教服務、此兄弟之所知也。

You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters,

You know that the first believers in Achaia were from the family of Stephanas. They have spent all their time serving the Lord’s people. Brothers and sisters, I am asking you

Now I urge you, brothers— you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints—

You know that Stephanas and his household were the first of the harvest of believers in Greece, and they are spending their lives in service to God’s people. I urge you, dear brothers and sisters,

不过，我现在为了供应圣徒的事要往耶路撒冷去；

再三恳求我们，准许他们在供应圣徒的事上有分。

关于供应圣徒的事，我本来没有写信给你们的必要，

请你们在主里用合乎圣徒身分的态度去接待她。无论她在什么事上有需要，请你们都帮助她；因为她曾经帮助许多人，也帮助了我。

在约帕有一个女门徒，名叫戴比莎，希腊话叫多加；她为人乐善好施。那时，她因病死了；有人把她洗净了，停放在楼上。吕大靠近约帕，门徒听说彼得在那边，就派两个人去求他，说：“请到我们那边去，不要耽延！”彼得就动身，跟他们一同去。到了之后，他们领他上楼。所有寡妇站在彼得旁边哭，把多加和她们在一起的时候所做的内衣外衣拿给他看。彼得叫大家出去之后，就跪下来祷告，然后转过身来对着尸体说：“戴比莎，起来！”她就睁开眼睛，一看见彼得，就坐了起来。彼得伸手扶她起来，叫圣徒们和寡妇都进来，把多加活活地交给他们。

这些人没有跟妇女在一起而使自己玷污，他们原是童身的。羊羔无论到哪里去，他们都跟随他。这些人是从世人中买来的，作初熟的果子归给神和羊羔。

因为这供应的事，不仅补足了圣徒的缺乏，也使许多人对神感谢的心格外增多。众圣徒因为你们承认和服从了基督的福音，并且慷慨地捐输给他们和众人，藉着你们在这供应的事上所得的凭据，就把荣耀归给神。因着神在你们身上的厚恩，他们就为你们祷告，切切地想念你们。感谢神，他的恩赐难以形容。

当迦流作亚该亚省长的时候，犹太人一致起来攻击保罗，拉他到审判台前，

并且要有善行的见证：就如养育儿女，接待客旅，替圣徒洗脚，救济困苦的人，尽力行各样的善事等。

因为神并不是不公义，以致忘记了你们的工作，和你们为他的名所表现的爱心，就是你们以前服事圣徒，现在还是服事他们。

司提反、福徒拿都和亚该古都来了，所以我很快乐，因为他们补上了你们的不足，

求神救我脱离犹太地不信从的人，使我带到耶路撒冷的捐款，可以得到圣徒的悦纳；

弟兄啊，众圣徒的心既然从你得到舒畅，我也因你的爱心，得到更大的喜乐和安慰。
