What if a message from God comes to someone else who is sitting there? Then the one who is speaking should stop.

But if someone is prophesying and another person receives a revelation from the Lord, the one who is speaking must stop.

But if something has been revealed to another person sitting there, the first prophet should be silent.

But if a revelation is made to another who is seated, then the first one is to keep silent.

But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent.

But if a revelation be made to another sitting by, let the first keep silence.

If[ any thing] be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.

And if someone sitting down receives a revelation, the person who is speaking should conclude.

Pay attention, O Job, listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.If you have any words, answer me; speak, for I desire to justify you.If not, listen to me; be silent, and I will teach you wisdom.”

Do not quench the Spirit.Do not despise prophecies,

“ Behold, I waited for your words, I listened for your wise sayings, while you searched out what to say.

What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.

“ They are dismayed; they answer no more; they have not a word to say.And shall I wait, because they do not speak, because they stand there, and answer no more?I also will answer with my share; I also will declare my opinion.For I am full of words; the spirit within me constrains me.Behold, my belly is like wine that has no vent; like new wineskins ready to burst.I must speak, that I may find relief; I must open my lips and answer.

Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
