我雖然是自由的，不受人管轄，但我甘心作了眾人的僕人，為贏得更多的人。對猶太人，我就作猶太人，為要贏得猶太人；對律法以下的人，我雖不在律法以下，還是作律法以下的人，為要贏得律法以下的人。對沒有律法的人，我就作沒有律法的人，為要贏得沒有律法的人；其實我在神面前，不是沒有律法，而是在基督的律法之下。對軟弱的人，我就作軟弱的人，為要贏得軟弱的人。對甚麼樣的人，我就作甚麼樣的人。無論如何我總要救一些人。凡我所做的，都是為福音的緣故，為要與人共享這福音的好處。

我現在是要得人的心，還是要得神的心呢？難道我在討人的喜歡嗎？我若仍舊想討人的喜歡，我就不是基督的僕人了。

我們各人務必要讓鄰人喜悅，使他得益處，得造就。因為基督也不求自己的喜悅，如經上所記：「辱罵你的人的辱罵都落在我身上。」

你們一直認為我們是在你們面前為自己辯護嗎？其實，我們本是在基督裏當着神面前說話。親愛的，一切的事都是為了造就你們。

希望可以激起我骨肉之親的嫉妒，好救他們一些人。

除了這些外表的事以外，我還有為眾教會操心的事天天壓在我身上。有誰軟弱，我不軟弱呢？有誰跌倒，我不焦急呢？
