无论是谁，不要为自己谋利，要为别人谋利。

我虽然是自由之身，不受任何人支配，但我甘愿成为众人的奴仆，为了要得到更多的人。面对犹太人我就做犹太人，为了要赢得犹太人。面对守律法的人，我这不受律法束缚的人就守律法，为了要赢得守律法的人。面对没有律法的人，我就像个没有律法的人，为了要赢得没有律法的人。其实我并非在上帝的律法之外，我是在基督的律法之下。面对软弱的人我就做软弱的人，为了要得软弱的人。面对什么人，我就做什么人，为了要尽可能地救一些人。我做的一切都是为了福音的缘故，为了要与人分享福音的祝福。

我现在是要赢得人的赞同吗？还是要赢得上帝的赞同？难道我是要讨好人吗？如果我仍旧要讨好人，我就不是基督的奴仆了。

我们每个人都应该为他人着想，建造他人的生命。因为基督并没有专顾自己，正如圣经上说：“辱骂你之人的辱骂都落在我身上。”

你们一直以为我们是替自己辩白，其实我们这番话是在基督里、在上帝面前说的。亲爱的弟兄姊妹，这一切都是为了造就你们。

希望使我的骨肉同胞心生嫉妒，好使他们当中的一些人得救。

此外，我还挂虑众教会的事，天天承受着压力。有谁软弱，我不感同身受呢？有谁失足犯罪，我不心急如焚呢？
