凡售於市者食之、毋為良心而詢也、

凡售於市者、不問而食、問則心疑、

凡購於市上者、食之；為良心平安計、勿問原委。

Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience,

Eat anything sold in the meat market. Don’t ask if it’s right or wrong.

Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising any question on the ground of conscience.

So you may eat any meat that is sold in the marketplace without raising questions of conscience.

Eat everything that is sold in the meat market, without raising questions for the sake of conscience,

但人非皆有此知識、至今尚有心念偶像者、彼食祭物、自覺為祭偶像之物、內心暗弱之故、則見污矣、

凡物於潔者無有不潔、於見污及不信者、一無所潔、因其心其志亦已污矣、

故當服之、非但畏刑之故、亦因良心使然也、

蓋凡天主所造之物皆善、感恩而受、無一可棄、

我賴主耶穌、明知確見、凡物本無不潔、若人以之為不潔、則於彼為不潔矣、

其聲又曰、天主所潔者、爾勿以為俗、

倘有不信者宴爾、而爾欲往、凡陳於爾前者、食之勿問、免心有所疑、如有人告爾曰、此乃祭偶像之物、則勿食之、因告爾之故、亦因心疑之故、蓋地與地所載之物皆屬主、蓋地與地所載之物皆屬主有原文抄本無此句我所言之心、非爾之心、乃彼之心、何使我之自由、為他人之心所非乎、
