世人凭自己的智慧，既不认识神，神就乐意用人所当作愚拙的道理拯救那些信的人；这就是神的智慧了。

蓋世既依上帝之智、而自恃己智不識上帝、故上帝喜以若愚之道救諸信者、

世人恃其智、不識上帝、故上帝喜以若愚之道、救諸信者、斯上帝之智也、

世既以智不識天主、則天主喜以宣道之愚、救諸信者、此乃天主之智也、

蓋按天主之上智、世俗之智、既不足以認識天主、故天主甘用若愚之道以救信眾。

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

God wisely planned that the world would not know him through its own wisdom. It pleased God to use the foolish things we preach to save those who believe.

Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.

For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of what is preached.

For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom knew not God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe.

For seeing that in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom didn’t know God, it was God’s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.

At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do. (niv)

but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. (niv)

At that time Jesus said,“ I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. (niv)

and said:“ Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. (niv)

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. (niv)

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, (niv)

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities— his eternal power and divine nature— have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools (niv)

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! (niv)
